    Hello my F430 brethren....

I have my F355 on Ebay No Reserve. Currently at $30,100. Not an unreasonable price given market conditions and the economy. I'm wondering if anyone has put their F430 on Ebay with No Reserve?

Since it's obviously a more expensive car than the F355 the risk is greater to sell at a below market price.

Pending the 355 auction close in 8 days, I may Ebay my F430 in exchange for my next Ferrari/Lambo acquistion.

    Your comments are appreciated.

    Here's the F355 on Ebay:

I personally think the physical location of your vehicle is going to be your biggest determinant in the price offered for your vehicles.

If you were in the rest of the US, you would have a much larger potential market for the vehicles....

eBay has turned into a last minute bidding place, so you likely won't see the price go up until the last few minutes of your auction.... but again, I think being in HI is going to hurt your price.

    Good Luck!

Sy- You can do a no reserve sale and just have the bidding start at the price at which you will throw up, but still sell the car. If you do not get any bids, the price was too high or something in the ad was squirrely.

That's what I had originally thought, but given the bidding frenzy on my 355 right out of the gates, I was pleasantly surprised!

Having homes in both California and Hawaii, it is very common to ship vehicles back and forth between Hawaii and Cali. In fact, I have friends here that ship their exotics back and forth so they can drive/race on the mainland, or have them serviced...

Good luck with the sale, i'd take it home for $35k.... :)

    from your ad:

"Also, keep in mind that since you don't have to pay any taxes on this transaction, this helps offset the cost of shipping"

not true, you have to pay sales tax in your state...at least in CA

I wouldn't do a week-long auction on the F430 unless it's center of the market (red, f1, black or tan interior, etc.). The more bespoke your car is, the more patient you will have to be for for the "right" buyer to emerge.

I just sold an argento F430, which for whatever reason is not the most popular color for the V8s. It took 3 months, but the final selling price was meaninfully more than the offers I saw the first month. It was the difference between selling to someone who would "settle" fo,r you car / options if they get feel they are stealing the car vs. finding the buyer who is actually looking for your configuration.

Obviously, it also depends on how your itch for a new toy compares to the hit you'll take by rushing the sale.

Colorado also and I imagine any state with sales tax. They just collect it when you register.

I think you would have had a much better chance at getting more for the car if you would have cleaned that spooge mark off of the tach! :)

I have a black on black F430. Surprisingly, my silver F355 is in demand. The black 430 should really generate strong bidding. Who knows.....but I always have the itch! ;-)
