Selling bits to save whole?

If it is possible that a horn button can fetch over $4000.00, then it is no surprise that we see so many books and tools separated from donor cars. I look at my original book and papers, tools, jack and even horn button and think that just selling these off would fund the completion of my rebuild. I am not going to do it, but it is tempting.
