1980 Ferrari 308 GTSi for sale on BaT Auctions - ending May 23 (Lot #108,095) | Bring a Trailer

Thought I would share some more of the history:

This Ferrari 308 simply is a pleasure to drive. I have taken it on 300+ mile drives thru Colorado with the Ferrari Club and on long drives with others. Pure motoring enjoyment at its finest.

This 308 GTSi is a joy to drive, and between myself and the 3rd owner who is a dear friend who I bought it from, we have 20 years of ownership and love going into it. Unfortunately due to a divorce I have to sell it, otherwise it is my forever Ferrari car, and would have done my planned maintenance to it this year which isn’t a lot due, so I gave a lot of information on the condition of the 308, the good and the not so perfect as I wanted to be as transparent as possible.

The Ferrari was bought new in October of 1980 and was sold due to the 1st owner passing away by his wife. The second owner bought it in 2003 as an investment and didn’t drive it, and then quickly sold it to the 3rd owner here in Colorado who is a great friend. I bought it from him in 2017.

So a bit more on the history.

The electrical on this car is great! The 3rd owner swapped out the fuse boy with the Birdman as seen in the photos, and I still have the original fuse box in 2009.

Fuel pump (BOS-69523) updated in 2009

The Accelerator, Brake and Clutch pedals were replaced as seen in the photos in 2015 with Drilled Aluminum ones from ItalianCarParts.

The seats were repaired/re-dyed in 2015.

A lot of service records also demonstrating milage, Including

Ferrari of Los Gatos California on 1/17/1983 for its 15,000 Service.

    11/14/1983 @ 19,582miles

Modena Motors in Redwood City, California (12 June 1985 Milage 24,403)

Ferrari of Denver (4 October 2007 Milage 29,940)

I'm currently reading the book "The Dealer" recommended by Prancing Horse. It's about Ferrari Los Gatos. The service paperwork from there is probably collectible in it's own right. Very cool.

Strong money for an '80, but that was in great condition.

That's interesting. My 77 308 GTB was serviced by Ferrari Los Gatos in the 80s and 90s. I'll have to look for that book!
