Although not listed yet, we're preparing to sell our home this summer. It was finished a couple of years ago, and I'm getting the itch to build again. Same area, same lake, but a different design this time with a smaller house and a bigger garage. :)

Decided to try a FSBY with a great photo web site in lieu of a broker. I work too hard to pay someone $125k to show my house when they know virtually nothing about how it was created or any of the million details that make it special.

Here's the link to the web site. (beta form as of now) www.kylelakehouse.com

    Thoughts comments are welcome.

That house fits perfect with the nature and the sea. If I were searching for a house in this area I would give you a good offer. It is beautiful. Hope you can sell it for that what you want. It is perfect. Why do you need a bigegr gargae? Is a 4-car garage not big enough? Good luck with the sale and with the new house.

We'll see what the market brings too hard to predict at this time,
I'm shooting for a 5-6 car next round... need some room for some vintage rolling stock. (mid to late 50's sports car of some ilk.)

Thanks, but credit where credit is due...
The exterior was mostly by Carolina Design Group, a local residential firm. I completed the interior, It was completely reworked and I was responsible for the working drawings and daily site supervision for 14 months.

The ceiling treys were first painted in a mid tone semi-gloss medium blue. The overcoat was a metalic platinum in the kitchen, Bedroom and lakefront areas. A metalic bronze was used in the living and dining rooms. All the metalics were dabbed on with cheese cloth in a moddled pattern. Pretty easy once you get the touch.

    That's one stunning home.

Looks great! Good luck selling it. Although I don't think you will have much trouble.

Thanks to all for the kind words and comments, the web site is a bit of an experiment. Nobody had a good "shell" to start with that met all my requirements.
Still a work in progress, but I agree that most realtor sites are low resolution, with way too little information.

I think your website is great - I really like all the pictures & information (PDF) files you put out there. You do a better job than the "real" realtors. :)

Great pictures also btw. The extra touches in the house are really fantastic - The stained glass windows look great.

    Jerry,
thanks for the comments. The web site still needs a bit of work,...trying to make a high-res slide show without the scrolling. All the photo's were shot by me, and I continuue to work on my camera and photoshop skils. Just learned how to correct perspective on wide angle shots, and HDR with photomatrix software.

    Samples below.

Looks great. The HDR really makes the colors pop!

I really like the piece of furniture in the dining room as well. How much of the stuff goes with the house? The billiards table for example.

Bob, is it possible for me to get all the information regarding your home on a CD? I am willing to pay you the shipping and any additional costs for the CD but if possible I would LOVE to have this for my records.

    Thanking you in advance

Dow down 777 pts today and Wachovia (a local bank) was taken over today. I doubt if we will get too many showings this month.

    Batten down the hatches :)
