Not that I want to be a stick in the mud, or otherwise, but, when I posted that I had a SAFE key for sale on e-bay, I was "deleted". So, what's the policy? I have seen posters that "got away with it" by being infra post, and not titling it "FOR SALE".
I wish it would be slightly clearer, or maybe it is, and I just don't know it. I do not think we are what you call "commercial" types...
    Tom S., need not apply...
And, if you post that you have an item "for sale, on that section", few people look at it, unless you are killing time at "xyz" airport. I can vouch that the mechanism for it is not well thought out, unless, once again, I am lost.
I think individual, non-commercial sales of whatever, should be able to go to the appropriate car model.
Please let me know how it is supposed to work...and why is it that Jon can post his Dino for sale, and I cannot post a $ 30 key? Not that I have a problem with Jon posting his Dino for sale, of course...or is it the wording?
    Just a thought, not a "coup d'etat".
    Regards, Alberto

The advertising rules are a little complicated, but hopefully not super convoluted.

    1) Sponsors may posts ads in the forums; but they are encouraged not to do more than a couple of posts at a time.

    2) Subscribers should post an ad in FerrariAds, THEN they may post a link to the FerrariAds post in one thread in one forum.

    3) Subscribers are also allowed to post a link to an E-bay ad, either in addition to or instead of a link to FerrariAds, if they choose. Same one thread, one forum limit.

    4) Commercial subscribers, who are not sponsors, are not allowed the one thread, one forum link. Non-commercial subscribers who have too many promotional posts, may get reclassified as "commercial" for this purpose.

    5) Non subscribers may not advertise or self-promote, post in forums, E-bay links, whatsoever.

The purpose of these rules is to allow users the benefit of the FerrariAds system and a little bit of directed attention, while not inundating the forums with ad related threads or having such threads bumped for miscellaneous questions or price negotiation that are of little interest to the majority of users.

These rules are probably not enforced 100% as things get by us (we do not read every post). Check your PM regarding your specific situation.

    Alberto,

    Yin is correct.

As a subscribed user, you first need to place an ad in FerrariAds, even if it's just a link to your ebay auction.

Then, you can start a thread in the appropriate section describing the item, and showing the FerrariAds link.

Or, as a subscribed user, you can post a link to an eBay ad in a single section, with a single thread.

This is the only level of protection we have on behalf of the site's paying sponsors.

    Please see your PMs.

    Mike
