As my first Ferrari i'm hugely attached to my 328 but after 8 years it would be nice to try something new.

is it normal to get more sentimental about your first f-car?

Anyone else here feel it was hard to let go of your first one?

My first one was a money-pit Boxer that I sold after only 3 months.
Come to think of it, almost every Ferrari is a money-pit.

I've bought and sold a number of "classic" and collector cars. I had a little twinge when I sold my first Ferrari, an '84 Mondial QV. Great little car. But I had already bought a 308 at that point, so was on to other things. The hardest car for me to sell was my first Jaguar XKE, a 1972 2+2 coupe, the one that is in my avatar. I had always wanted an XKE and was thrilled the day I bought it. I loved the heck out of that car and it treated me well. But the big 12 cylinder engine with 4 Stromberg carbs was a bear to keep running well, and I hated the slushbox tranny. I found a '70 XKE coupe with a 6 cyl. engine and 4-speed that I bought on the spot, so Mellow Yellow had to go. I still miss her now and then, which is why I've kept her as my avatar on here, even though she's long gone.

So, yeah, it is hard to let go, sometimes. But there's always the next one!!!
