A Forrester sitting parked with no driver has zero irritation rate, put a spirited driver in it, and I'm sure things would flow quickly, put a senior with one foot in the grave behind the wheel and you can watch grass grow much faster.

Is there a 24/7 Bingo facillity to distract them and keep them off the roads? If not, the town should have one built.

 

Do what we here in Australia do, high beam em'!!!
Sit on their arse for 2 minutes with the high beams on, and i know they will pull over!
Or you could take the sane route and learn to relax!

 

Subaru bought the rights to the software that the Ford Company patented and is used all of the trucks destined for farming communities around the US. Subaru then modified the programing for urban application.

In essence it is an electronic governor that limits max speed to 45 MPH. It also has an internal clock and calendar that reduces the max speed of the truck another 7 MPH on Sunday mornings. Around here the slang for the trucks is "Farmer Fords".

Hope it doesn't go world wide.

 

Actually, we had Subaru WRX police cars here in Sydney a while back. The reason why they couldnt be used was that the speedo is not entirely accurate, and therefore the roof mounted radar could not get a precise reading. Maybe this is the reason? They are doing the speed limit according to them!
Subarus are nice cars, ive owned three of them, and i drive one everyday. If worse comes to worse, high beam em'

 

It must be the drivers. The manual version of the Subaru Forester XT with the 2.5 liter turbo engine scoots from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 5.3 seconds, very fast for an SUV. Handles pretty well too. Considered to be a Cayenne rival.

These roadhogs are probably very bad and very inconsiderate drivers. If I were to be piloting one, you'd never be complaining like this. Blame the drivers, not the vehicles !

Up here in Canada it's usually a Buick of any model......with a driver wearing a straw hat (fedora style) and a 25 year member gold CAA sticker on the rear trunk lid.

 

You ain't seen nuthin yet. Go up to Vermont, and you'll see all the crunchies driving these damn things. They are so rusted that they are held together by their "Give Peace a Chance" bumper stickers. They don't dare go over 30 cause the damn thing will shake apart. Plus, the smoke coming out of the car is not exhaust fumes.

I gotta admit that it is kinda fun to strafe them. You don't have to worry about them over reacting because, well, their brain waves start moving slowly after a while for some reason.
