Interest that Jean Todt is referenced as the team boss of Alpha Tauri. I don't think he ever held that position.

Senna was a tool. Every team wanted him in some way or another. The Penske test was just another way for people to sink their hooks into him. Very talented but he did as he choose, not as others wanted. Others saw profits, never his talent.

LOL. Probably based on my own prejudice, but when I first read this, I interpreted it as 'tool' being a pejorative rather than a literal tool!

It might come across as that. My point was he was true talent that he would not allow to be manipulated. Everyone wanted to profit from his skills. His personality forbid that from happening.

Before departing for Williams-Renault, Senna had said that he would drive the Williams for
    free.

Guess we'll never know if that happened.

I disagree. He had a massive business mind. He was using his brains to make use of his talent

No...he understood the value of his talent. Most people never understand their value. It is why sports stars have agents. Understanding your market value in terms of dollars does not mean because you are equal or greater talent translates into greater income. Senna knew his talent was significantly better and that it should translate into significantly greater income. Just because some says your the top paid driving talent does not mean you recieving what you are worth. Ferrari like others simply couldn't ink a check for that amount. Senna simply figured if Ferrari isn't willing to spend that kind of money, then they don't see his true value. Same for Penske. Ask yourself one question....if Senna joined Penske...would F1 still be here? Based on the success of CART, i would think it would, but in a lesser capacity. He certainly would have filled US tracks if had joined. That was the beauty of Senna.....he saw the entire racing picture, not just F1.
