The USAF Museum will sponsor the 2011 Dawn Patrol Rendezvous on the grass beside the Museum Sep 23-25 in Dayton Ohio. Lots of full scale, partial scale and R/C flying. Many re-enactors and vendors
    Very laid back
I will have the Sopwith Baby there, and there will be a very nice flying full size Fokker triplane for you Baronophiles.

I went to the Dawn Patrol Rendezvous several years ago and enjoyed it immensely. Don't think I'll be able to make it this year. Have fun!

yes - the last remaining Fokker triplane was destroyed in a WW2 bombing raid. No originals exist.

I expect vast quantities of photos and a full length movie since I can't be there.

A friend of mine found an intact actual WW1 Fokker D-7 in a barn in the early 60's. I don't know where it is now.

Progress has been very slow here at the end, yet, we packed up the little Sopwith Baby to leave for Dayton tomorrow. Camel will be staying home as too hard to disassemble.
We are also in the middle of developing the weathered/combat look, using the BBC series "Wings" BE2 as a guide. Waiting on inspection after fixing some details, so unable to fly, but thought some might be interested at Dayton.

Please come by and say hello!
