I discovered that my exhaust may have shifted as one set of muffler tips is low on my 360. I want to attempt to adjust the capristo exhaust but wanted to make sure I don't put too much pressure on things like exhaust manifolds if that is a danger. There is a lot of adjustment in all the brackets on the muffler but how do you approach the sequence to not damage the manifolds and get the best result? Do they get snugged first and then revisit after adjustments or when do I play with that connection?

Thanks for any guidance, maybe I'm overthinking things but I love my car and don't want to mess it up!

In general you are overthinking it assuming a properly designed system. Proper means proper design support of all the parts. For example if you had bad motor mounts and manifolds bolted to motor and exhaust bolted to frame elements the middle tubes would need to move with the motor vs frame. They could have spring joints. If rigid bolted something has to give aka damage something. In general the manifolds should be bolted to motor. It does not need additional support. Then there are mid tubes with joints to the muffler. Muffler is hung off frame elements with or without rigid straps and the mid tubes are bolted together or have semi-rdgid joints that allow some movement. So let's say the exhaust pipes are skewed and you want to shim the muffler to center the exhaust pipes you loosen as many pieces as needed to move the muffler and bolt it down then tighten the mid pipe to match the new position of the muffler. It's pretty easy.
