Art- Not the same issue. DoD basically had less than 6 months to absorb all the cuts this year. Beginning 1 October, they can plan where to spread them out a little better. If they were going to mothball the Thunderbirds, they would not be training now. Having gone through groundings during the Carter years, I can vouch for the fact it takes a while to get back up to speed in flying units.
