Been lurking for years. Probably posted 1-2 times as a non-owner in other threads/Texas region. Hopefully Saturday, that changes! Going to pick up soon to be mine 1995 348 Spider #99315 in Fly Yellow and Black. Never thought I could pull this off! Now is the time to buy in my opinion. The Ferrari Market report says it is a buyers market and may look to be that way for a bit, but I bought to keep and enjoy - for a little while, anyway.

Has some miles on it and needs some service. No problem. Will tackle that in good time. Never considered yellow. Ferrari.s should be red, yellow black or silver. Really, is there a bad color?!?

Will take pics when I arrive and share more info this weekend. Cheers! And go Cubbies!

Congrats - great color combo. You picked the right one with few produced - likely to continue to appreciate.

    Enjoy and post photos.

Great news! Enjoy in good health.

However I think the true buyers market was about 5-6 years ago. ;-)

Driven quite a bit. 58k. Last Major at least 6 years ago and maybe 8? Have several options to get it done. Can DIY most anything. I have several friends who can do critical technical items, but I would do most of the heavy lifting. Driven weekly for many, many years. The current owner is a petrol chemical engineer and has kept serviced. I will baseline it and plan service for the late winter or early spring. I will drive it weekly till then and if something breaks, will spend more to fix. I hope the stars and planets will not align in that negative vane 😁

They don't have to be red.....
Here is mine, wellcome to the yellow f-car brotherhood.

Morning! Sitting on the tollway in my Uber. Commute from Frisco to Downtown Daily. Pics Saturday when I pick it up. Going to trailer home. About 4 hours away and it has sat more than being driven, so I want to get better feel for it before going on a long trip.

    Awesome ;)
348s look great in yellow, in fact any F car looks great in yellow.
If they are in your garage they look great in ANY color.
As mentioned post some pics, any F car puts a really nice smile on your face ;)
If you catch yourself out in the garage just staring at it thinking "I can't believe ........."
This is normal and almost required, so get a comfortable chair and enjoy.

Thanks for the kind words. I always thought I would buy a 308/328. Love the 355 and dismissive of the 348....But then I started educating myself.

Like to work on my own stuff, check.
Do not want to deal with SD cars, check.
Child of the 80's, with grates and gills, check.
Tall, so Spider has headroom, check (yes, I will not really fit)
    Gated shifter, check.
    Etc, etc, etc.....

I was looking at 550's a few years ago and really thought I may try that route, but it fails to check those boxes above. The 348 really gives me what I want - a mid engine Ferrari, that may appreciate and I can afford to own - sort of 😎

Time was as close as it will ever be. Price is reasonable and it is a 1995 with all the 348 updates you can throw at a final year model run.

I am not a fan of the new cars. Not really affordable for me. Not attractive in a classic Ferrari theme, to technical and while marvelous in so many ways, I would buy a late model Porsche over a late model Ferrari - sacrilege I know.

Looking forward to sharing the pics, and pick up. Think my 13 year daughter is going? My wife says she is not riding in a Banana! Women 🙄

    Good luck with it

Congrats- the car looks great! A red Ferrari is too common :) My first ferrari was red- got that out of my system and when I went shopping for the next one yellow is the only color I wanted- a fun color for a fun car!

If you haven't already, do yourself a favor and immediately join the FCA and specifically get engaged with the local Dallas chapter. Great bunch of guys (including Rob himself!). In the 3+ years I've spent time with the chapter here in Austin I've made some of the best friends I have today and the events have been fantastic. Definitely join some of your brethren up there when they come down to join in on our annual Hill Country drive. It's the highlight of the year for us and many in the Dallas/SA/Houston chapters. :)

Ditto to all of the above except substitute Aston for Porsche if I were to buy a new car.

Based on what you've written I think you will quite like the 348.

Very similar to my thinking as well (except the need for headroom). Have you driven one yet? Having come from old Alfas and an air-cooled Carrera, I thought I was ready for anything; direct manual steering, heavy clutch, clunky shifting, firm brakes, mean exhaust note, floor-standing pedals...

Man, was I wrong. The 348 has all that, but does it so much more, and better! The test-drive sealed the deal for me.

I have driven 355 F1 car. Somehow I think ergo is better in that car? Seemed fine in 355.

Squeezed into 308 before, even an old Dino, but that was 27 years and 50 pounds ago [emoji12]
