Somewhere on Wikipedia I have read that the original Serenissima's except for the Jet Competizione and the McLaren F1 car are all still owned by Volpi somewhere in Italy but then another article 8W - What? - Scuderia Serenissima states "Today, Giovanni Volpi is said not to own any of the wonderful cars that his team ran or his factory built, stating that the memories are worth more than any precious metal on wheels." So who knows.... Possibly somewhere in Italy there is a castle and in the basement is a whole stack of old Maseratis, Ferraris, Alfas and Serenissima's just waiting for someone to discover..... One can but dream :)

lgs;143060982]"Serenissima McLaren M1C", was a Coupe, built 67/8 from Drogo. The very car was later converted - from Drogo again - in the pictured white "Serenissima 308SP Spider Avional". Same chassis, enforced and converted 68/9 with "Avional", a light and strong composite material from the aircraft industry.

I get a nice photo, some years ago, with VOLPI at the wheel, but no copyright yet!

A Scuderia Filipinetti FIAT 128 coupe with n°57 in one of the pictures. This place could be Diena & Silingardi's carrozzeria in Modena (?).

Fantastic car. Thanks again for sharing those rare pics. Where is this car today? Stored somewhere?

The group photos appear to be in front of what is now Sport Auto Modena on 90 Arturo Toscannini; the interior photos could be as well. Diena and Silingardi worked for Volpi during this period but they were never carrozziere.

I think the group photos are at Formigine, via Emerenzio Ghiseli. Diena & Silingardi's shop via Toscanini in Modena is another building. But yes you're right, they were not carrozziere but mechanics. Today the shop is run by the two sons of Gianni Diena and Aldo Silingardi. A place full of history.
