    Indeed Ferrari only has one entry for the 400i under the year 1979 in the website. In the text, the 1982 modifications are mentioned (slight power increase, rear suspension, few aesthetic changes etc...). The pictures are obviously from a 1982 series. Some documentation follows the same principle, for example the Workshop Manual covers series 1 & series 2 in the same document (assuming 42705 is an existing chassis number for the 400i, I wish I knew if this number belongs to series 1 or to series 2:)). However some documentation is series specific such as the owner manual or the spare part catalogue.

    What’s so unique? Looks like a normal Series II to me. Radio is a Toronto, standard fare on a Series II. Also, speedo in km/h.
