I saw this one come up for sale. Its a consignment car. Same owner for the last 15 or 20 years. Supposed to be in like new condition. If I remember correctly they said it had 20k miles. Asking $45,000. Doubt they'll get that but if its really in the shape they say it is with it being in CA with a bar sticker I'll bet it brings mid 30's. http://ww2.collectorcartraderonline.com/details.php?adId=adcache.collectorcartraderonline.com/ad-cache/10/6/9/89027869.htm <how do yo feel about your purchase now JF? Told ya you did well >
Thanks Dave. I am totally comfortable that my '79 GT4 was 'well bought'. (The kudos coming from both yourself and Tim Stanford, and "top 10 US cars" available sold me for sure). Appreciate your consulting service. Original correct car, 12K miles >> I agree. I was lucky to get in under $35K. (The original asking price on the Dupont registry was $42K). I hope this one goes for what its truly worth. John
It's a 75,,,, thus, no CARB needed in California. no smog ever again! (Just those stupid front amber lights.) I want to go back to to lil-ones on my mondi.
What's with the fog lights on this one?? Red one: this car, blue one=mine, Euro 1974 Hans Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hans those foglights are an aftermarket added item. US cars didn't have them like that. The yellow lens is correct on that car. Yellow/clear is euro. I agree the round side markers look a lot better on a GT4. Those of us who live in the US got screwed on that one. Its a shame this series 1 car doesn't have the Dino badge. Sheesh! Original ones are getting tougher and tougher to find.
Yup, mine (the dark blue one) has Ferrari badges all over. I would not have minded Dino badges either. Not so much a freak of keeping things original though... At least now I do not have to explain what kind of brand car that is
