It looks so new just like you wrecked it on the first time you drive out from factory...

After looking through the pics, I had to chuckle when I got to the end to see the "pile" of smashed parts that were vary carefully laid out for the photo. I was expecting to read something to the effect that "all parts are accounted for and come with car".......like they can be easily repaired.....

I have a non-original 512 BBLM project looking for a drive train and was considering doing a retromod type race car when I retire.
A 430 Challenge drivetrain might shoehorn in.
    Just a thought

    PS ad reminds me of one a few years ago;

"Car was in perfect concours condition just minutes before the fire".

What a perfect donor to turn into a one off creation, much like Jim G did with his one

The rear driver side rim has a very awkward damage. I wonder if it was this the culprit.

    Hi all

I have been lurking here for a few years - and think its time to introduce myself, I'm David from the UK.

I have bought this car as a "complete spares package" for my F430 Challenge, which is thanksfully in one piece and which I intend to keep till I die - hence buying the "spares package".

I am interested however in the history of the crashed car and would like to make contact with the previous owner and/or the race preparer so that I can ascertain when last the various mechanical parts (engine and gearbox in particular) were rebuilt and how many miles they might have done since, etc., etc.

I am also curious about the race history of the car and crash that ended this poor things days as a race car - I really hope the driver was ok!

Stockpro it seems that you know the car well having driven it:

Stockpro could you, and any others in the know, please share what you know with me - on a confidential basis if needed.

    Thanks
    Dave

Well, that could be the first donor car for the new Lancia Stratos!

Are they still basing it on a 430? thought they may have been using a current Ferrari as a donor now

Back in 2011 they've said that they will use a 360 or 430 car for the base if they would take the 'OK' from Ferrari. Michael Stoschek told that. I remember an EVO Magazine issue in which there was an interview with the people behind the project.

I believe that the base is F430, but at a cost of £500k I think this car best remain a parts car...

Wow, it almost looks like an aero version of the Baja Boot!

Good luck with your search for information, Dave. You've likely come to the right place for it!

Wow didn't know about that one. You raise a good and interesting point. So for donor based vehicles we have:

    Singer
    New Stratos
    Land Rover Defender Classic
    Hennessey Venom (?)

What else? There's plenty of kit car stuff but I am leaning more towards "professional" cars.

Yes, a new trend as you said but i think this is bad for the rest of the people. I explain. I don't like the fact that Singer has picked up the majority of the 964s out there because in a couple of years, when the real collectors or petrolheads will try to find parts for their car...it will be very difficult.

There's always Icon, if you feel like dropping $200K on a Land Cruiser or a Bronco.
