Blue (and red and white) cabriolet LImited Edition homage to the original America Roadster … this has less in common with that car than Ferrari’s California has with the real 250 California Spyder. That has a hood scoop. This has Porsche’s first ever two-color wheels! For only $180K!

Maybe it could have “Cheeseburger” as the side script…

Feels like a pointless cash grab when Porsche could be making more GT3s to satisfy endless demand for what is arguably the world’s best sports car.

True, but you can get that in any Carrera GTS without the Uncle Sam outfit.

Generally agree but at least it is a manual and ICE and some insipid batterymobile with about as much desire or passion as a food processor -

I have to think the “limited” editions are very profitable for any auto manufacturer. All have essentially same exterior and interior so if run as a group not many changes on the production line (while at the factory our guide indicated changes on the line slowed the line down a bit). Likely they all sell at a “special price” so what’s not like from the factory standpoint? I have never been a fan of anniversary editions and special limited editions with very limited exterior/interior choices since all are more or less the same.

With only 100 being made for the United States, what do you think the secondary market will be for the car?

Porsche really missed the boat on this one. Should have been deemed "The Kardashian Special!" :D

When every car is a “Special Edition”, doesn’t that make non-special cars special?

That’s the problem. It used to be that any 911 was a seriously special car. The whole concept of a “base” Porsche 911 is ridiculous. There was no “base” Ferrari Testarossa or 365 GTB/4 - you bought a world class car and paid a lot of money. Ferrari is now on the same slippery slope. And with Porsche I need a scorecard to keep of 911 variants.
