hey guys i am on the hunt and i think i found a better car with service records... it's a 99 F355 spider F1 with 19k & service records but the gentleman told me it will probably need a belt service.... so my question is since i am in the market for my 1'st Ferrari i was wondering what consists of a belt service and how much would it cost ?

i don't think i am going to go to a dealer i would rather go to my local mechanic that i trust and i know he works on Ferrari's all the time but i was wondering what would an independent shop charge ?

    thanks.

This has been discussed quite a bit you may want to do a seach to get more feedback. Many include numbers for additional services done at the same time, like a clutch as an example and leave with a 10K bill.

I have a 348 that went through a standard belt service without anything else by an very good local shop (not a dealer) it was right around 5K. Now a 348 uses a single belt and the 355 uses two but I beleive the cost to be pretty close. I am going off memory but remember it was right around 5K (plus or minus $500) and mostly labor.
