I havent driven my F430 for over a year and stored in semi heated garage. I am considering taking in for service only due to time not miles ( 2 mi from last oil change). The dealer recommended all fluids, radiator, brake, trans, oil just due to mositure & time. I am likley to udate, but just curious how others handle the "out of storage; aspects of service. I am also considering the front molded shield that protects the lower surface of the spoiler from the driveway bump scratches, so common with these car. Thanks in advance for any feedback on service.

Yes, I plan to drive it more!!!!

Brake fluid--its gets saturated with water even in dry deseert climates
Coolant--all the anti-corrosive properties have been used up in protecting the a aluminum, steel and copper in the system
Engine oil--its anti-corosive properties ahve been stressed
Tranny oil--I persnally would change it--you may take your own chances
Battery--get it charged up before starting-don't be surprised if it won't take a charge

Advice, based on depreciation, it has cost you several tens of thousands of dollars to let it sit for this period of time. You will feel better and so with the car by driving it more--and it will cost less per mile the more you drive it.

Charge the battery and go. Oil should be good along with other fluids, maybe a new battery is in order. Ferrari's do not need the yearly fluid changes.

I would change everything, it fairly inexpensive.
My questions is, what is the difference from having oil or any other fluid that has 2 miles on it stored in a oil pan/break line/radiator or a container on the shelf in the same garage or store for 2 years? Piece of mind is one thing and would be my reason but I am looking for real facts about what happens to unused break fluid left in the car.

Some are going to argue this point. I'll let the technically more astute jump on this one.

Just curious, unless you were overseas or in the pokey, why own such a toy without enjoying it? Me, I couldn't imagine this. :)
But I suppose some have LOTS of toys to keep themselves busy for over a year...

Before you move that baby out it is very importan to check the condition of the existing gasoline inside the tanks. If you don't add an stabilizer before you stored the gas can become gummy and that equals to major problems. Check it just to be sure!

After one year you will fall in love again and you will regret to don't drive it more!

    Huge point!!!

Yes, I would get all the fluids changed out. Oil changes are recommended once a year regardless of storage or driving. The cost of a full fluid change should be around $800-1k.

Get'er done!!!! Then go and drive and re-kindle the love!

I appreciate the good advice. I think given the "risk reward" Ill change all the fluids , coolant, brake, oil and trans as well exchange as much old gas for new ASAP. I think $1k is close of the entire deal. Perhaps both a piece of mind as well avoidance for downstream issues. I really love the car and plan to start driving it. I am going to add the front end lack curb gaurd spoiler to help with the drive acess and associated scratches as well.

I am also considering a fuel injection cleaner first tank or so, any experince here

Thanks Gentleman......sunny and 72 today here in MI, A fews away from service and road time.

You're in Michigan too? The weather is absolutely beautiful. Pity the weekends supposed to be filled with rain. Today would be a great day for a drive. Have fun!

Yes, In Bloomfield only a few Miles from Cauley Ferrari, where the f430 is headed soon. I agree the week was very nice. I think spring is here early!

Any word on if Cauley is staying in the game, I see Maserati pulled out and rumor of Chevy, making it hard IMO to support F cars only?. I hope they stay in the game
