Bought my 458 in June 2022, 438 mile on the clock.

It had annual maintenance done every year as per ferrari 7 year maintenance schedule, last service was may 2022.

Drove the car from Jan to April 2023, logging approximately 1000 miles.

The car is now in storage, trickle charged, started up and driven every few weeks etc and don't plan on driving it until around November 2024.

My question is do I need to perform an annual service, oil change etc.

It's out of warranty and would cost approximately 2600 which I would like to avoid if possible.

I try to run every engine I have up to operating temp at least once a month to get rid of any moisture hanging around. If you're not planning on even running the engine for over a year, I suppose try to fill it with non-ethanol gas and give it one last drive. Inflate tires to sidewall pressure and/or put it on cradles to minimize flatspotting. I would not bother with an annual service right now if it's not going to be running.

If the car is never driven why service it ever ? Peace of mind may be to give it an oil change in 18 months before it is next driven (for a couple of miles.....)

We all have our ways for storage. It’s often what you are most comfortable with.

Me: I change the oil, filter and flush brakes before long term storage. Like those mechanicals rest in clean fluids.

As mentioned, it’s mandatory to me, to fill with non ethanol fuel and have it run through the system. Ethanol and rodents are always the most concern.

If properly stored, i would just let it sit until Nov ‘24, while having someone check on it one once in awhile. I’m not a believer to start a car and let it idle for 20 mins and shut it off. The engine never warms up properly and causes unnecessary condensation and wear.

Over inflate tires, put trickle charger on, add Fuel Stabilizer, put a de- humidifier ( if damp garage)
Come back in Nov 24, check air pressure , add 5 gallons of new fuel, start car run to temp and then do service

I would do the oil service BEFORE storage. The oil gets moisture and combustion acids in it when used. The fresher the oil in it when it sits, the better off you are.

Remember dry sump oil systems are not as susceptible to moisture. The sump tank pressure is pretty tight. As long as it’s started and warmed up to temp every month I would not worry. As suggested not a bad idea to give it an oil change before. If you are a diy, changing the oil and filter is pretty straight forward.
