So Seth just picked up an Ariel Atom, which will be one of the exciting cars that will participate in Exotics Rally. The car is absolutely bananas. Never riden in anything faster than that car. After 20 mints of driving your mouth is dry and full of bugs, your eyes watery, your hair is nappy and your heart is pumping... Does it have airbags? Do you need to wear a helmet to drive the damn thing? Sure looks cool though, will be keeping an eye out for it on Sunday at the Concours
You don't HAVE to wear a helmet, but I would, just because everything and anything small on the road is coming at you very quickly.

This is truly an amazing vehicle, from the chasis to the throttle response to the chicks that want to jump in an take a ride - it's wild! I am looking forward to a track event to really show off its handling capability - in the meantime if any Veyron's wanna go for pink slips give me a call! Seth

That is nuts! I just peaked at the TopGear episode on it.... did you see his face get all distorted, lol. That things is fast! Since it uses a Honda Type R motor, imagine how much more faster it would be if you tuned it to one of those crazy turbo builds, omg!!!

The Atom is built in both GB and USA. The factory in US is building Atoms under official license from Ariel. The European car uses a Civic Type R engine while the US-version is using a GM version. Now that you've bought the car you have to take it to track and kick bottoms no matter what the opposition
It's built by Brammo Motorsports in Oregon under licensing from the Mother Company in UK. At first the only options were the GM Ecotec engine which is what I have, now you can in fact get the Honda engine here in the US. The only downside is that Honda is not supporting the warranty on the engine because its not a factory upgrade with the Supercharger, the GM is a factory upgrade, so therefore my local GM dealer should sh*t themselves if I pull up for a servicing........ Maybe if the chick is with me they will more willing to work on it! Decals have been applied... check 'em out.... I'll tell you what.... anyone who signs up for the Exotics Rally 10/19 - 10/20 will have the opportunity to drive my Ariel Atom at the last stop - WITH MY SUPERVISION as the passenger!
