Impossible! According to St.R’s post #1094, these are just stories, because Ferrari doesn’t do contracts before the presentation SMHo_O

Anyway, congrats…this will surely be an epic car!

Any thoughts if the factory has already assigned all allocations, or if some allocations have not been assigned yet? I would go buy an SF90 now if I thought it gave me a 1% chance of getting an allocation. But I wouldn’t bother if the allocations have all already been assigned at this point.

You’re going to hear both answers. My dealer is still yet to allocate according to the GM. I hope that’s the case.

That’s what I’ve been told as well from my dealer… he says I have a good chance with my SF90 VS on order along with deposits on 296 GTS and PS, but who knows….
On the other hand, I have a buddy who was offered the Spider VS, which was from FNA and he paid the deposit, $120k.

I will never be offered any of these special allocation cars, and therefore will not speculate how the process works. Others seem to grasp at straws to engage in the conversation. The one’s truly in the know, usually keep quiet. First rule of fight club is never talk about fight club.

I’ll be a straw grasper, as it’s good entertainment. Most offered the car aren’t on fchat.

There is no set of written parameters that you can look to for an answer. I suggest that you talk to your dealer as to what would elevate your status if that is your goal. They have a general idea and should know what helps. The more you do with Ferrari and the more cars you own as well as racing in Ferrari Challenge, doing Club Challenge, XX, going to their F1 Hospitality and Piloti school will help. IMHO, you should think of it as a journey, not a destination and it takes time.

Way ahead of you..started this journey 30 years ago. My answer to what does buying a Roma and attending a few driving schools do is pretty much nothing in terms of getting a SF90SV. But you and I both know that. Sorry I will miss the Challenge weekend at Road Atlanta. Back for Sonoma..

    I yield to Ferrai logic.
I will do best to get qualified.
It seems this one is treated as a test bed.
Anyway if the car is good, then this essentially is enough to justify any loss while buying it.

Believe I own your old SIM - anyway post was meant to help.
Challenge - I disagree as not every situation at a dealer is same and simply sharing.
Challenge racing is a goal - takes time to complete classes.
LCrawley - we are in a group or two together.

Not sure what SIM you are referring to but thank you for trying to help.

I disagree however as the potential owner list is above the dealer level as to who may soon order this car as a list has already been sent by Ferrari to the U.S. dealers of those who qualify. Another sticking point is all about "allocations". To everyone who already claim to have an allocation, remember that this car is not yet an official car. Technically no one has an allocation and cannot until Modis allows that entry.

For that matter, technically no one knows whether they'll be alive when their order finally arrives either. Neither Ferrari or its dealers wants to upset their best clients, by contacting them to offer a car that may never materialize. Perhaps it's happened, but I'm not aware of a case where Ferrari has selected a customer and then not delivered on a promised allocation. In each instance in which I've been contacted in advance of the release of a new vehicle, it's developed into an order and delivered car.

My experience is not at question - you may be right about spider or coupe.
Might be worth checking Modis - you either know or don't know and I am done posting on this subject.

Don’t know about US but allocation is out to customers and deposit is made by all those allocated customers mostly.
This has been like this all along. But this time is different. Deposit should be made and non refundable at all. 1.5 years of ownership of the car.

Why non refundable? This is interesting. Are they afraid some will run away once the car is out? Highly unlikely…
Will the price be record high for what they are? Likely….if the number is small. But how small?

And the deposit is quite high for this car compared to past deposit amount.

for clarifcation I meant £600k - £240k more expensive than the sf90 here, which although I don't know precisely the upgrades seems reasonable! we'll see though!
