I think Maximus’ point was that this is not a ‘track car that can do road’ like the Senna. My point was ‘neither is the Senna’. I don’t think either of us were talking laptime, more driving feel on track. I know the SF90 is very quick and great on track, I’ve actually driven ours on track which I suspect is fairly rare. To me, the XX is a Senna rival. And it will be quicker. They both do it different but are trying to achieve substantially the same thing. The respective price points are not coincidental.

In 2030 all its competitors will have 75% pure EVs and by 2035 even getting a hybrid Porsche, Lamborghini, McLaren, AM, or Bugatti will likely be very difficult and expensive.

The world is moving in that direction so it’s pointless to debate! Similar to those who want V10 & V12s to return to F1 - F1 isn’t going back!

Hopefully 2030 employees won’t go through a 1993! In order to ensure that doesn’t happen Ferrari employees better figure out how to design and sell what 2030 customers: 1. want and 2. can buy.

Even after purchasing a homologated car (STO), other than an occasional tracking day just to stretch its legs in open territory, the entire concept doesn't make much sense to me any longer. Far too risky for the wallet and could be hazardous to your health as well.

I dare say very few, if any, can drive any of these cars remotely close to their limit - either on a track or street.

At the end, I suppose it comes down to paper bragging rights and a few YouTubers getting hits on their vids.

Best concept of being racy road car is Senna and STO and since I own STO, I can tell anyone this much.
You can not drive STO on the road without back pain. Changed tire to MP4S and it got better but still too stiff.
I fear XX could be the same.

Thankfully SF90AF is livable for road use, and not much of track car than STO. So we are going nowhere. If the car is more leaned toward certain side, road or track it diminishes the use on the other end.thus I wish Ferrari should focus more on road car fun.

Last month I’ve done 3500 km across Italy and France in my Performante, identical car to the STO, in the race seats at some point I even ended up doing some off road driving LOL and other than a tone of fun I experienced zero pain, what’s causing you the back pain? Must be a pre-existing condition you have.

I agree the SF90 AF is much softer, different suspension type.

Perf is AWD, STO RWD with some rear wheel steering. Agree STO sport seats are not uncomfortable, I can spend hours on end in the driver’s seat, no problema.

Any Ferrari is going to feel GT-like compared to a Lambo.

Really? SF90 AF is virtually as uncomfortable as 992 GT3 or 991 RS. I don’t really think any SF90 is a ‘GT’, though I haven’t yet driven the non-AF version (though I should be able to soon).

I am very familiar with the STO, I drove it few times on unfamiliar race tracks to familiarize myself before I use the Essenza, I have done more than 100 laps on various tracks, I also had a loaner for a short period of time for street driving, aside of the steering which is probably the best on any modern Lamborghinis (most evident on the street) for everything else IMO I prefer the Performante over it, also the Performante with factory exhaust sounds so much better, I have a STO on order but I don't think I will keep it, I will keep the Performante.

I am in agreeance with you most Ferraris feel GT'ish like when directly compared with the Lamborghini variant, Ferraris tend to be more refined which I am starting to appreciate more and more the older I get LOL.

Really? To me the SF90 AF is so comfortable and smooth, I do not find it anywhere near as raw as the GT4RS for example, I have no experience with the new 992 GT3, I would happily do thousands of km in the SF90.

This +1… have not driven 992 GT3, but my AF Coupe feels the same as my previous 991.1RS & 991.2RS and my 2 Pistas I had, meaning I did not feel the AF SF90 was more or less comfortable to those 3 cars I had. They all feel slightly different, and have heard 992 GT3 is stiffer too..

AF SF90, 1 Pista and 991.2RS on UK roads, 1 Pista and 991.1RS on European Roads for clarity

Wow! So my much hate for this new SF90 XX. I guess it’s a matter of one’s opinion.

And people here argued no haters here [emoji848]!

    I love this car!

That may be true but doesn’t make it a GT. Otherwise Pista (slightly softer suspension than AF) is also a GT. Which of course, it isn’t. I can easily do 1,000’s of miles in any of these. But I can also do that in GT3 RSs and have done. It’s a little bit arguing about words because it doesn’t change the cars but my idea of a traditional GT is big (sometimes lazy) powerful engine, compromised but brutal handling, plush sofas. Think Bentley or Aston. Our AF doesn’t feel like that at all. It’s a proper super car in the way it drives. It is pretty firm over UK back roads though and can be uncomfortable without the bumpy road button.

Why is the car called XX Stradale? It's not an XX car, it's a fully developed road car that has been homologated for road use, not a laboratory with no requirements to fit an existing mold - which is what XX cars were supposed to be.

It looks like something you would see floating around on forums and obscure car magazines 10 - 15 years ago as a photoshop of "the new Enzo".

From what I could read about the car there is not really any breakthrough technology (like most recently, the suspension on the Purosangue). It appears it's tuned and developed what's already part of the electronics package, which is no small feat calibration wise. Aerodynamics are easy to highlight on once you mount an ironing board on a car.

Without a smither of doubt an absolutely insane track weapon - those with an allocation are already in the position where tyre budgets for track use to exploit such a car are of no worry. However, being seen driving the Spider version up and down the high streets of metropolitan cities will look absolutely ridiculous.

I agree with some of your post however I find your last comment slightly snobby and snide - if someone has worked hard and achieved their goals and happens to want to drive their xx spider up and down their street , who are you or anyone else to judge ? For all you know they may have a 599Xx /FXXK evo car that they use on track , so are able to buy /enjoy their XX spider as a nice addition - I know one such guy who, trust me , is a demon on the track but will be using his spider leisurely around town .. we should be respectful and mindful - you never quite know who the person next to you is …. Just my 51 cents worth …

all that matters is people will buy a special limited edition ferrari regardless of whether they like the car at all, especially at these low numbers as they are a great investment

I like the car. Will probably like it even more when I see it in person. Just like other special edition cars with a bit more HP, little less weight, more aggressive looks. Can’t wait to drive it.

Anyone hear anything about production/delivery timeframes for the SF90 XX? I'm assuming 2024 for Europe, 2025 for the US?

I’m hearing that the US *might* see a few cars the end of 2024 but the bulk of the US deliveries will begin in 2025. I’ve asked that my allocation be the final car coming to my dealership - I specialize in delayed gratification — and I’m curious how many months the production run will cover. Has anyone heard a timeframe for the upcoming media drives?
