Does anyone know how long this drive takes? I have to attend a wedding up there in a few months. I heard the roads are windy and great to drive. I may just have to take the 360. Thoughts?

Just made that drive last week. Some parts are great, others bumpy and irregular. If the fog comes in hard it is slow going and not a lot of fun, but if the weather is right it is a glorious drive. Drive time depends a lot on weather and if the Winnebagos are out. I would say 3 to 4.5 hours and yes, take the Ferrari!! If you are venturing any farther north, drop me a line. I live about an hour north of Sea Ranch in Mendocino and have an inn. Love to talk, see other f cars anytime. John

If there isn't any traffic can be done in 1 hour. With traffic about 3 hours. I've done it in about an hour on the bike, but there were a lot of people pretty upset with me, something about the way I went around them on that road. Take the 360, use the radar detector.

John, I've been meaning to go to Mendocino with my wife. I'll drop you an email if we do. Perhaps we could stay at your inn!

Art, How much time in a kart I wonder.... hmmmm..... I think I'll try to leave early in the morning so I can do it in an hour. That would be fun.

    Thanks for the info, guys!!

Norm....how you been?......please keep me informed about that inn situation up there. I'd like to head down there in the near future. I think we'd talked about the area north of SF in the past.

Give me a shout when you get back!

1 is pretty trecherous. That said, it's one of my favourite drives! Take it at 8/10ths on the tight stuff, gravel and water can be around any bend, even on a sunny day. Plenty of areas to break 100mph however. Bring radar detector, and call Dan if you get nabbed.

    But what a glorious drive! I'd give it 2hrs or so, 3 if there's traffic. Art's a better driver than I :)

Definately take the 360, this is one of the most senic and spactacular F-car runs on the planet.

Just remenbered, we need to do another F-chat Mendocino run so Norm can come too!

John- You're kidding! You have to PM me with the name of your inn, too cool.

PS: your nickname, do you fly out of Little River?

Norm, Mendocino is almost ludricrisly romantic, you'll love it (though it may be too quiet for some, I dig the peaceful sleepy town thing.)
