Just hit 1,700 miles in 18-months of ownership of my car, and still haven’t had a single issue that I needed dealer assistance with. (*I did have one issue where my tail-lights stayed on a for couple of days after a detailer pressure washed the car, but it went away on its own once it dried out). One other thing to note, I use a standard extension cord to charge my car (contrary to what Ferrari recommends), with absolutely zero issues.

I drive it 99% of the time in performance mode, although I do use EV mode pulling out of and into my driveway/garage. Only mods I have are 22”/21” wheels on PS4S, PPF on entire car (including the windshield), ceramic coating on entire car and wheels, and ceramic tint.

If others want and to chime in about theirs, that’d be great, but either way, this the best car I’ve owned (compared to 2 other Ferraris, Lambo, Porsche, Maserati, AMG, M, GT-R, Corvettes, Viper), and I feel extremely fortunate to be able to own it.

I’m around 12-months of ownership no issues and drive mine same mode as you:) I’m considering a valve controller to keep valves open its a spectacular machine

I really like the idea of a valve controller.

In my experience messing with the exhaust valves, at least on prior models, has a negative impact on low rev throttle response unless you tune the ECU.

I've never had that issue on both the F12 and 812. I doubt the 8 cylinders are any different.

I had it on my TDF, 458, F12, and F430. The difference in throttle response was noticeably weaker. I will allow that there may be different personal sensitivity to this. I asked my mechanic who worked on factory challenge cars and he said the system is expecting back pressure which the flap control can remove if you set it to open.

This always stuck with me as it makes sense. He told me this is a system, and when you make a change to one part, you can expect another part to be affected. He recommended if we made the change to the exhaust even just the flaps, that we tune the engine a bit. I tried it first without the tune, as I wanted to see for myself, and I did. It was softer, and I didn’t like it. So on the 458 for example we went with a tune, with the tdf we put it back to factory.

I would also note on the older cars the flap was vacuum controlled, on the newer cars it’s electronically controlled, and apparently there is more feedback to the ECU about whats happening. I’m not sure if this makes a valve controller better or worse; but I think the advice is still good.

Owned my SF90S AF for 2.5 years traveled over 8000 km no issues to report, absolutely love the car and if I had to have only one toy car this would probably be it, it is currently on it's way to NZ for a 6 days Ferrari Tour which will commence on the 31st of Oct, I can not wait.

I've been doing the open valves since the 612. Two screws in the tubes use a stainless steel tie wrap- done. Crazy is how good the stock Roma sounds vs SF90,

SF90 reliable high performance rear engine - 20 years after the timeless 360.

I can only tell you what my mechanic told me and also my experience which directly backs it up. I wouldn't mess with it unless you also address what the engine is expecting. I wonder if the Roma is a coupe and prior to GPF?

Interesting, it could be due to the engine plumbing
