Mines the spider so not sure how much earlier I can expect it , I would be very happy to get it at the start of next summer rather than end, that’s for sure

Thank you very much.. I appreciate that, specs are all about opinions and discussions. I believe this is the best photo I have for it atm as it’s waiting for PPF & Ceramic coating. What was the interior stitching colour on the car at Algar. I went Giallo as I was going to bring in the Giallo Calipers colour but then my brother convinced me that the Diamond Cut Wheels looked so much better without a colored caliper, and he is right to my eyes so went Black Gloss Caliper, and happy I did. My thinking on exterior Carbon Fibre was because no suspension lifter on AF, thought no point on front spoiler, so would look odd just on underbody cover and rear diffuser. However, side air splitters were important to add in Carbon Fibre as, as you walk up to car you see it and the rear Carbon Fibre Spoiler, and when driving you are surrounded by a lot of Interior Carbon and this is emphasized when you see Carbon Fibre Air Splitters through the drivers wing mirror.

    That first photo just kills!

Love your process for thinking out the aesthetic specs and the choices you made. I, too, like the giallo calipers, but in this case, the black is perfect. Regarding the Algar SF, I don't recall the stitching color. In the first encounter, the car is a lot to take in. I was too overwhelmed to notice, I guess. Maybe it was black on black.

When you have a chance, please post your impressions on the SF. And, pics, too! :D

Will do.. one thing I forgot to add to help others, the CITZ Carbon Fibre Tunnel option should be ticked every time, if it’s the only Carbon Option you tick, tick that one. I would go as far to say it should be standard in AF FIO 1 & FIO 2 option even if they have to add it to the price. To leave this in carpet, Alcántara or leather is all wrong in a Assetto Fiorano car. It’s the missing piece that blends all the interior together, regardless of the interior colors chosen. It’s a spectacular large piece of Carbon as well, and well worth the cost. I know there are Carbon Fibre haters on this forum but if you are going Assetto Fiorano option, you have to tick CITZ option. So that there is no confusion, because it does say Carbon Fibre Upper Tunnel in description, it is the large lower piece with the Cup Holder in it, I know of one person who thought that meant the part behind the seat coming back towards the center and didn’t order it. Car turned up with the Assetto Fiorano pack, had all the Carbon behind the seat as standard and the rest of the center console was carpet and Alcántara on the side, he was fuming. Dealer and him was unaware, so no blame game…

That's awful. At this point in the sales process for your friend's car though, the blame, in my opinion, goes to the salesperson and the sales manager. Every dealer gets a personalization guide for the car to teach them EXACTLY about avoiding these types of complete amateur salesperson mistakes. At this caliber of car, it's inexcusable for a salesperson to miss that.

Here is the very training guide they can look up at any point in the order process for their client. Heck they could even look this up afterwards if they're trying to pose like they know what they're doing, which your friend's dealer clearly did not.

Here's the page showing exactly what CITZ is. In plain English, it says: "The front part of the centre console is available in visible glossy carbon fibre, with the side knee-rest insert in black Alcantara®."

Ok, suppose the salesperson is just totally lazy and really be bothered to read that much material (which should be damn exciting for a passionate salesperson). Well here's a clear illustration/diagram showing that the Standard interior is Black Alcantara® in the front console and Black Leather in the back center console.

Oh, and look at this! It shows in the most kids-who-can't-read-good (movie reference) friendly illustration what exactly comes with each version of the Asset Fiorano packs.
And lastly, here's a page showing the interior options for the Fiorano pack.

While I would MAYBE understand this level of incompetence with a build to order BMW or Mercedes where most customers are buying off the lot, I find it incredibly irresponsible and lazy for a Ferrari dealer (and Ferrari HQ) to accept this type of idiocy from their salesperson. It's unbelievable how some do not have the self respect to learn their craft, leaving a client spending over half a million US dollars only to have a mistake on their hands.

As clients/customers, we need to look out for each other folks!

You are absolutely right.. the confusion came from CITZ code, in previous Ferraris this option would give you the back piece of the Console in Carbon Fibre, but on SF90 it’s the front piece. If I recall correctly, the sales person said you don’t need that option, it already comes standard on Assetto Fiorano, ie meaning the back part, CITZ in previous cars, however, as you state above, why was the front piece(CITZ in SF90) not discussed. It was an early car, but still… so standard is Alcántara, not Carpet or Leather which I stated earlier. Wasn’t aware that the chrome gate was darkened when you order CITZ, thought they were all this finish..

Great timing for early summer! I was at my dealer today checking on car after PPF, and they said they cannot get Coupe Allocations, all out. This makes me think as my car turned up 2 and half months early, that they just went ahead and produced the majority of 2021 Euro Coupe production slots before factory break and now are ramping up Spider production only.. until the factory reopens and we hear categorically, this is my suspicion.

What PPF option did you go for? The 2 options none of them are full car, thinking about getting mine done after by a PPF specialist and get the whole car done, I’m told that Ferrari PPF is very thin

Always use a PPF specialist after delivery. All the factory manufacturers service is rubbish. I use Elite Detailing, they are in Knightsbridge just off Motcomb street and Solihull, Birmingham. For me they are the best, I’ve never used Topaz but have seen friends cars, and Gurcharn’s business is level up. Have a look at his web page gallery. I went for frontal to A pillars, plus lower body impact seals, plus Carbon Fibre side air splitters plus Carbon Rear Spoiler.. he won’t PPF all the lower plastic on my car, as it is rough but if you have Carbon Fibre there, then that will be covered and recommended. I think HR OWEN use Topaz so I’m sure they can look after you as well.

Im curious to this comment. Why only make the coupes over such a short run? Do we have any idea how many were made? Algar is bringing the Roma to Pitt Saturday and I’m driving it. Not really into the Roma but I want to experience the new generation Ferrari UI. I’ll throw out getting a SF90 coupe and see what they say.

Yes throw it out there, but think USA Coupe production is fine, just my thoughts on Euro situation. Once factory is open again, I’m sure the situation will be clearer.

My 488 PPF was done by Ferrari, I’m not impressed with it, it’s very thin, started to lift plus I don’t like the way the edges are finished a few mm before the end of each panel
