The car is 4 model years old and lost 22% of MSRP. Most SF90 owners didn’t buy the car as a investment but to drive it briefly until their Spyders were delivered. In my experience, the car is stunning, enjoyable to drive and very quick!
I don't disagree with any of that. But the owner of that SF90 put only 487 miles on it in ~3 years of ownership. He owned the car for more days than he put miles on the car. When it's put that way, it does sound very bad. And sad.
You may not have seen his post but he has a F40, SF90 Spider that replaces the Stradale and a SF90 XX. So there are plenty of cars to drive. Regards.
Don't care anymore - truly I do not and why I even respond is a waste of time. Do what you do - enjoy it.
Just one data point. 2021 SF90, less than 100 miles ODO MSRP approx low 500k RNM 429k. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2021-ferrari-sf90-stradale-24/ Image Unavailable, Please Login
That’s a stripper No CF, barely any options … surprised it even bid that high Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Why is the market so brutal to the sf90? Bc of the tech? No sound? Volume? 296gtb? What will happen when new sf90 is intro?
i think the 296 is probably the biggest hinderance to the sf90 pricing in the used market. some key differences: * 3L v6 vs 4L v8 * 830 hp vs 980 hp * 3240 (1.77 kg/cv) lb vs 3460 lbs (1.57 kg/cv) * one electric motor vs three * rwd vs awd * 360kg/250kph downforce vs 390 kg/250kph i think it is difficult for many people to swallow a ~50% price increase from the 296 to sf90 for these changes.
I spent sometimes analysing the sf90 market before ordering the sf90 spider. 80% of the cars on sale are coupes. People ordered the coupes for the spiders, and let go when spiders arrived. The usual game. Most are 2021 and 2022 on the market because 3 years warranties are up and people mistake the battery warranty are up at the same time. Battery warranty are 70k miles/7 years. I will also buy extended warranty anyway. It's a V8, so only 4 to 5k a year. Worth it. I do that for all my Ferraris anyway. Last reason. Sf90 coupes at one point were fetching almost over a million, and people went crazy with the specs and probably under even higher pressure to let go of the car during sale, thus more willing to drop the price. My SF90 Spyder is inbound next year. Very excited. I don't know. I don't have a degree in economics. Lol
In many ways, it should be attractive to a buyer who actually wants a stripper SF90. And, yes, there are those out there (like myself). Cuz, if you were to order one, few Ferrari dealerships would actually let you spec a "stripper" SF90. If I was to get a SF90 (or a 296), it would be with as few options as possible, with the exception of the AF for the 296.
Agree, 296 performance is close, and looks so much more cohesive. Ive not heard a 296 in person, videos have the edge to the 296 though.
Well Put. Will still following along. FWIW I tracked the 296GTB, amazing car, but the SF90 is better and IMO indeed worth 50% more.
I ageee… I did Corso Pilota with the 296 on track and I was a bit underwhelmed, though in the U.S., it is the non AF version which can make a difference. The SF90S, I’d love to spin it on track ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The secondary market is just not friendly to the SF90 (coupe in particular), prices need to drop and its going to be painful!
Google the vin and a 21 sf90 red coupe comes up that was sold on bat and that's clearly a yellow spider. Also, if you read the ad, he said he can ship to the US and cars are previously tracked cars, lot of things don't add up...
I've removed the listing, sure OK, that was just a SF90 placeholder for multiple track SF90's they can sell, but needing Bitcoin etc was just not adding up.
Quick relative datapoint. I have casually been in/out of market for SF90’s and I recently zero’d in on nicely spec’d 2023 example with delivery miles and a $646 MSRP. It was online for $595. I sold in less than a week. In my time following the market, these cars are extremely spec/mileage dependent. Cars that have full carbon exterior with delivery miles and decent prices seem to transact very quickly.
Agreed, I am tracking this closely as I'll b selling my White 2022 Stradale. Well Spec'd not over the top, seem to sell. Going below sticker still, but it depends on how much below.
