That car is worthless.

It has nearly 2900 miles.

I never thought I would ever read that a car could be worthless because it has nearly 2900 miles. Very sad days.

Having read this now, I will happily put some 10000 additional miles to my F40 this summer. Just for the deep pleasure of doing it.

Image Unavailable, Please Login I just purchased a high spec 2021 SF90 (~$700k) fro $499k, certified by my local Ferrari dealer, extended warranty, with 4,000 miles. I had a Pista and was planning to buy one again (regretted getting rid of it) until I drove the SF. Remarkable car and not as 'fidgety' as people claim it to be. I think they'll bottom out soon if they haven't already, but who knows.

SF90 took a deep dive. There are many for sale.
Preowned are much cheaper to own.
296 will be following soon, already at or under msrp (give some time for better deals).

Plus interest rate, its all about about the mood
Lower rate of 2-5% = everyone happy, buying out of control

You guys don't think your dealer reads your posts or takes notes on how you handle yourself with the brand? Can you imagine your customers posting about your business is such a negative manner.
GM's are well aware of who they want to get LE's and they work hard with those customers to get it done.

 

My comments was for some who are worried about prices, depreciation, rates, etc.
Everyone has their own lifestyle and tolerance for risk.

If you are asking me then it doesn't matter. I do not look at depreciation curve before my purchases. Otherwise I won't have done much in my life (38 years of age). I believe on taking risk over sitting aside. Better fail than regret in all aspect of lives At least we learn by failing and learn zero by not trying..

Dealer or even Ferrari reading our posts: sure, they can do what pleases them. Its nice they have enough time to read posts on blogs Btw my dealer, managers, sales/service crew follows me, Insta, etc
No one is posting negative its just matter of truth. Things depreciate. It always been except past few years (thanks to covid, supply chain, shortages, etc.).

And yes I am on waitlist status for Puro and 12Ci, cannot wait If I lose money on them hmmm so what, I know I can make double or triple that by other means.

 

Let me explain more (world of watches, cars which I have a small knowledge of):
It all depends on your end game/goal. Are you looking for just 1 car? Then for sure get the best deal out there. You will save a bunch!

BUT if you are playing a long game/collector/goal where you are looking for special, limited, icona, halo cars in future: then its different mindset. You have to buy many new cars, depreciation will be your friend for first 5-10 years. But believe me it will pay off big time in the end. Same philosophy in stocks, businesses: pain now, earn later.

So we have to choose where we stand, 1 car guy or long term orientated.

Let me give you an example which a lot of us know: in order to get XX or VS version (sf90, 296): you need to have 5-10 (new cars) purchases from your dealer in order to even qualify. And still have 5+ Fcars in your garage. So even if you lost $100k each on your 5 cars ($500k) your XX will make you at least $1mil on paper. You will ending up winning in the end

Not sure how a guy making triple of 1 - 200k is buying a Puro and 12Ci but good luck.
Try leasing a few and that payment alone would eat up your salary - if you can't afford a lease you can't afford to buy

I have an XX on order - two in the garage at the time. Three on order - again you know what you know.
Fast forward 4 in the garage - 4 on order.
