I’m confused… have I said anything negative about the SF90? I seriously doubt it. Think you have me mixed up with someone else.

There was an article and chart in Hagerty today about resale values of the SF90 both coupe and Spyder. I tried to attach it.

Is the car already configured? If it is and you like it, buy it at cost. If you don’t like the configuration, don’t buy it. Seems like at that cost it is a fairly base model.

just curious, when you refer to "buy it at cost", is that dealer invoice OR MSRP... back in the day, you might be able to buy a car at dealer invoice and below MSRP

We used to order our vehicles that way. $500 over dealer invoice. Dealers were fine with it because they had no cost in the car/truck. Last time I did that was around 1993 for a Dodge truck. All domestic.

Don’t know if Ferrari has ever been that way…

After several conversations with friends that some happen to be auto dealers. They say to run from buying a SF90 in todays market. Any thoughts. I have a deal at MSRP for a 2023 and a MSRP of less than $595k.

If you truly like the car, and whether the value trends up or down means very little to you, then buy it.

I assume the reason they say to run is their belief that the car will drop on value. given that there are a finite number being produced, I'm not so sure this will happen and if it does it would be relatively small drops. There are a similar number of F8 coupes for sale and they are retaining their value. If you like the color combo of the SF90, then you can own one without having a 2 year wait I like had to do twice. I own both a 2021 SF90 coupe and 2023 Spider. This car is such a joy to drive. I highly doubt that I will own another F car.

If you have the money and like the car…buy it. Tomorrow isn’t guaranteed. If you’re worried about owning an asset that may depreciate, don’t purchase cars unless they’re rare.

I own several Ferrari’s (including an F8) and my SF90 AF spider is the most fun and best to drive.

If you walk into a dealership and have to ponder over - chances are it's not for you.
Would love to walk into a Ferrari showroom and see a spec ready to go vs ordering 2 - 3 years but that's far and few between - if ever.
Ferrari dealer will appreciate the sale which helps you get next best thing - if you have to ask ... the saying has merit.

Inspired by you fine people I bought a 2022 sf90. I'll post pics when it arrives. was a close to perfect spec for me (few pricey options I wouldn't have chosen) and was able to secure it for a bit less than sticker.

Yes in USA. Thanks! Sent the deposit, signed the agreement, and should be able to finalize the whole thing tomorrow AM. I've got a Roma which I love but am excited to have a proper ferrari sports car.

I don't think of myself as an electric car fan. I would never sit at a charging station somewhere and wait for a car to charge. Actually, I can't stand Tesla fan boys. I do love my SF90. It's quick and powerful. Nothing boring about that. It gets that partially from the electric motors. It's a keeper. Don't forget the P1 and LaFerrari are hybrids.

It's a family sedan. Sorry. Only other Tesla owners are impressed by a big fat heavy sedan. Not a sports car. Not an exotic. Just put your baby seat in the back, go to the grocery store, fill up the trunk and be happy.

    Hahahaha!!!

Sounds like a good topic. “Who mows their yard and changes their own oil?” Then we can go into the whole time value of money rabbit hole.
