Honestly, if you don’t LOVE the exterior color, why would you ever consider dropping $675,000 on that car? Time is on your side. Be patient and get the car you want. Personally, I would rather spend $725 and get EXACTLY what I want than spend $675 only to wrap the car in colored plastic.

Looks like they went with 'battery pack green', matches what's underneath:

You are right, I am focusing too much on the rest of the car and the convenience that it's local, over what is arguably the most important component to happiness in ownership, which is the color of the car.

I guess that's why they call it Verde KERS - the colour was supposedly inspired by the shade of the KERS components. I wouldn't have put that together, fun bit of trivia.

I'm in agreement with everyone else - there's 70-odd Spiders on the market, you should be able to find one in a colour you like.

This car is local to me. It's stunning in person. I just saw it this AM.

Verde Kers Mica is a tailor made paint color that reflects the 2010 Ferrari 599 GTB Hybrid design color. The version of the 599 was to showcase future potential Ferrari hybrid models. Think LaFerrari, 296 and this SF90.
There have been numerous models built with this special paint color. The tailor made cars don't always retain their value on the resale market due to their build choices. However this particular model has 5 paragraphs of 'options' on it's build plate. For the right buyer this specification is a real find!

Now you guys are making feel crazy for not wanting this color.

I have seen it in person and it is great looking, I just don't think it fits my personality. As much as I love driving these cars, I am not a fan of attention and being seen in them. This color sticks out much more than my matte white F8.

Where is your sense of adventure?? Haha

As one who loves skittle colored vehicles I adore the car but I totally get the longing for subdued colors. My SF90 is Nero Daytona over Nero.

Personally I LOVE that color and I don't think you will have to lower the price for resale at all. However in today's market, I would be low 600s on that thing as you would be catching a falling knife in the short term. These will be 500k soon. Not if but when

Yes that's my current worry. I found a different TM car in white that I really like. But it seems pretty obvious I am going to lose about $100k within a year if I move forward now. Seems like I should wait a few months and feel it out.

Verde Kers is a love it or hate it color. It will most likely be harder to sell than less controversial colors. But you might get lucky and have a buyer (or two) in the market that just have to have that color and will pay up for it...or it could sit for a long time.

This market seems to love skittles colors. Like you said, only takes two to like it, which I think is more probable than not.

I only have a sample case of two, but I am pretty surprised on how hard headed dealers seem to be right now. The two spiders I have been interested in have been on lots for about 4 months and they don't seem to be worried about falling prices at all.

Good for them if they can end up getting what they want, it just seems like they are ignoring the data though.

Is it possible Ferrari corporate is providing directive to not sell below a specific amount?

If so, then it would be a directive on a percent off of MSRP. Because there are spiders out there being listed under $600k.

I wouldn’t touch this car with a 10 foot pole, it’s going to lose $300,000 over the next two years. Pick your favorite 1990s car and drive that around like you stole it until this is at a palatable price point.

Because of color? MSRP? Or are you just saying SF90s in general are going to lose a lot?

Both, even people that love this color (and I think it looks great) know that it’s not for everyone, plus the inevitable march way lower of all Ferrari hybrids. At $400k this will still be a very expensive car and will be several years old, and whatever Ferrari say, likely the battery will not be working as it does today.

I'd judge it on the basis that you're losing 300k as soon as you pretty much drive it off, if you still want it then go for it!

I am not that much of a car guy, and have never shopped for a car in this price range before.

Coming from a real estate background, it is very hard for me to understand current values on SF90 spiders.

Nothing listed online today seems to make sense, and nothing seems to be moving. My guess is that sellers and buyers have about a 25% difference in their pricing. On top of that the buyer pool seems so small right now that a 25% discount isn't going to move that many units either. So in reality these cars will be sitting for a long time no matter if sellers come to their senses or not.

For the people here that have a lot of past experiences with cars of this nature, do you have examples of previous models and time periods where you have seen something similar in the market? I am curious how that played out.
