    Ouch. Often not smart to be the early adopters.

    I don’t see the T Roadster the same way though with so much proven tech.

    That's funny. In 1963 my father pulled the boat anchor 3.0-liter out of a 1955 Austin-Healey and dropped in the lighter, much more powerful Chevrolet fuellie 327 V8. Thousands of people have dropped fuel-injected LS motors into classics, Miatas and even into a Tesla Roadster.

    If you watched the royal couple drive off in their classic Jaguar E-Type, then it'll really bend your brain to know that it had an electric motor transplant replacing the straight-6 that originally powered it. We have been improving ICE engines in older cars as long as there have been older cars.
