I posted a gas strut from the boot lid of my Mondial to SGS in Derby, UK on Monday, asking them to modify it to make it 1cm shorter. (The boot lid was opening too far and the trailing edge was touching the rear of the engine cover) I received a phone call Tuesday to say they had received it, and I would be better off with a new replacement, which they would make as a one-off for £18, so I agreed. The unit arrived Wednesday, and was exactly what I had asked for. They also returned the original strut. That's only 48 hours from posting it to receiving it back, pretty good I think.
