Shanghai Circuit

Took to the track today in my 308 GTSIQV. Along with a host of 355’s, 360’s , one F40 and two F50's etc, oh and a Red Enzo and a silver Enzo, about 60 cars in all. Three groups of cars 20 at a time.

The track is not easy tight corners and ups and downs in the corners. Managed to swop ends on the first lap at the hairpin but no problem, on lap 3 lost 2nd gear just before turn three and did a 360 spin, but now no 2nd gear. Set off again but I started to hear a bit of popping in the exhaust under deceleration, lost a bit of performance (cracked the front bank manifold in my spin). Started lap four and had to move over for the Enzo passing like a jet plane. After that no other problems other than not fast enough to keep up with the modern cars.

All in all topped off with a glass of wine a good day was had by all.

The F1 boys will have their hands full on this track, Berger drove a sedate lap in the F1 car yesterday, remember he has not driven in anger since 1997.
But styill faster than the cars on the track today.
