This Sunday morning, 26 September, there will be a gathering of the tifosi to watch the inaugural Shanghai Grand Prix at AudioAdvice on Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh. The party will include a catered brunch from Bella Monica and will be preceded by a fun drive through the countryside. The gathering for the drive will be at Carrboro Plaza at 10:30AM and will last about an hour, ending up at AudioAdvice.

The brunch will be in AudioAdvice's showroom and HDTV highlights of the latest champ car race will be shown. After brunch the Shanghai race will be shown in the large screen home theater rooms.

This is an FCA event, but if you're interested in Ferraris and the FCA, you're eligible to join us for a fun morning. I'll be leading a caravan to Carrboro Plaza starting at 10AM from the Exxon station at I-40/85 exit 148 (NC54, Graham). If you can't make the fun drive, meet us at AudioAdvice, 8621-117 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, at 11:30.

Obviously, the Shanghai race will be TIVO-delayed 10 hours, so keep your spoilers to yourself. We may be able to arrange for a separate room for those who couldn't wait to know the results.

If you can come, I only ask that you let me know here on F-Chat or by a note on the CONTACT page of our website, www.fca-nc.com, as soon as possible.

    Bob -

I've been asked to run with an undercover group of drivers on Sunday morning. That group has a 550? as the lead car. They'd be leaving GSO around 7:00am for a run to the mountains, and back to GSO by 10:00am. I need to figure a route that'll get me to Graham with enough time to watch Steve actually drive his car. I'm convinced it doesn't have an engine, and he only goes far enough from home where he can peddle the car like Fred Flintsone.

I've RSVP'd to AudioAdvice, and will be there for the race viewing regardless of my early-morning adventures. What route do you think you'll be taking into RDU?

The fun run starts in Carrboro at 10:30 and arrives at AudioAdvice at 11:30. The route has been planned by AudioAdvice and only they know the way. You could reach their place in Raleigh around 11:30 if you leave W-S by 10.

Actually, if you're in GSO by 10, you can make it to Raleigh before us. I'll also have my mobile so you can call and maybe we can set up an intersect point.

    Bob

    p.s. I actually saw N24RE's 328 run, once

funny funny guy you are...be careful with that black bird group you are running with...they are nuts...they drive faster going to the track than when they are on it ;-)

    I'll be there....don't you worry =-)

    Steve -

I found an old snap-together model of your car. It even includes a DINO as an accessory!

    :)

All in good fun. See ya this weekend.

    Bob,
I've RSVP'd for 2 with Phil at AudioAdvice. Look forward to seeing everyone again. Who knows, I may even have a replacement for the NSX in my garage by the weekend.

I plan to come in my 360 and my cousin will be in his GTS. Hopefully I can make it by 10:30 for the drive. That depends on how late of a night Saturday will be.

Daniel - Have fun with the 7:00 am run group on Sunday. I've run with them once or twice before and Steve's right...it's a blast. Just watch those mirrors. :)

I know Steve's car will run. We gave him back his electronic control module, so there are no excuses now.

I hope to get back out to these events soon We have a new little one at home, so things are busy on the homefront.

    Have fun this weekend!

I hope the 360 will be in by then. Maybe if FCI isn't done with it a surprise visit to check on it is in the works... :D The car is there for major work, it can hardly run now. :(
