Shaq's Ferrari mod

How do we know this car was owned by Shaq for real?? The car looks really good, except it is automatic. I like everything else though. Wonder how much it'll sold for.

is it just me, or does it look like the rear seats are gone? it looks like they've been replaced with speaker setups?

what on earth would be the point in buying a 456 and removing the rear seats -vs- buying a 550?

Doody is right in pointing it's a 2 seater 456. I didn't noticed it for the first time.

If Shaq truly owened the car, it may earn the premium for some people. I was wondering how Shaq would fit into 456, but now it makes more sense.

So Darth, Are you saying this listing is not the same car as the one at FX, Costa's? I was little confused.

If the price is in 50's, it would be interesting buy for me! How much do you guys think this car values?

 

The 456 at FX was Shaq's and is not Costa's. It belongs to someone from Texas.

It was on ebay but some months ago.

I saw Shaq's MB sedan at the Beverly Hills Hotel & he was driving that froom the back seat. When you are that huge you have to do odd stuff to fit in our world. I want to know how he gets his size 14+ into the foot box

 

William, while size 14 would be hard to fit in most fcars, Shaq actually wears a size 22! I saw one of his bball shoes in a shoe store once. Huge.

 

I've heard that it's common for NBA players to have the rear seats removed and the seat tracks modified on 456's so that they can fit in the car. I imagine it must be tough for someone who is 7+ ft. tall to fit in 550.

 

I really like the Targa top conversion. Hmm, if it still had 4 seats, and was a six speed, maybe I would consider bidding.

I wonder how much it would cost to convert a regular 456 to a targa top?

Those seats took a beating! I guess he learned because in his new 360 Spider he has custom seats that somewhat fit him and of course, it has the "Superman" logo stitched into the headrests.

Looks like a high quality conversion, though. I don't think the roofline(s) meet in my mind's eye, but especially with the targa on, it looks nice.

I can vouch for the cars authenticity. Shaq was a cutomer of FoCF and we routniely serviced that car. It has no rear seats - the front seats are where they were.

As far as the quality of the modifications, there were several at different times - for the most part the work was somewhat shoddy. The interior looked pieced together and the roof leaked.

He did like the car however, and drove it pretty often.

Personally, I dont like it - I think it looks like an imitation, like one of those things based on a Toyota MR2.

Shaq has a 355 Spider which has been modded so the roof looks like a 360 Spider - its looks lovely - anyone got any photo's of that?

 

I wear a size 14 and have driven a 308, 328, and TR. It is quite a challenge to hit the right pedals, and heel & toe shifting is virtually impossible. You guys with smaller feet are fortunate when it comes to Ferrari's.
