I did a quick search and didn't see this posted: "...The longer Lambo has 12 inches added through the middle, surely a relief for the 7-foot-1-inch athlete..." full (but brief) article: http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/News/articleId=120578#3
haha, yer it is funny looking, must like the g alot to do that, lol, actualy one of my mates had the rails on the seat in his car extended bckwards so he could fit in, not sure how tall he is but he is huuuge, lol
im pretty sure he has the cash to keep it as long as it runs and/or doesnt exactly care what the resale would be. the real question to me is what did that conversion cost?
Hmmm... many Ferraris built before the mid-60s or so would not accommodate most people over 5'-8" or thereabouts, so maybe in another 50 years or so?
No question, the car is odd. It is however sort-of a "one off" purpose built for a recognized celebrity. Depending on Shaq's future and how long he keeps the car, it might appreciate (someday). I too would like to know what it cost (real number) and see photos during the project.
I'm a short-ass, maybe I should get an XXS Gallardo made - be nice to drop some of the dead weight LOL
That poor car looks ridiculous. I know that some people have different tastes, and that is fine....but this looks like a 'more money than brains' idea. Doing something just because you can is not always a good idea.
We sold him the car and then found the place to do the stretch. For those saying he ruined the car. According to him he did not. Why would he buy the car if he could NEVER drive it. He made the car something he could drive. I dont think a few 100k puts a dent in his bank account. He did what he had to do to be able to drive and enjoy the car. I sat in it and when I reach all the way out my hands were three feet from the wheel. In the passanger seat it feels so weird because you feel like a two year old sitting in a giant car.
there was an article in some magazine (sorry, forgot which one) on Shaq & his cars. he was quoted as saying he likes Lambos w/the Lambo doors, but the Gallardo was much easier for him to get in/out because of the traditional door configuration. the feature was done before he had the Gallardo stretched though, so i guess it still wasn't comfy enough for him.
