Well, at the risk of appearing pretentious, yes... six of them are essential for a good match. They make great stablemates for the 308, although I must admit that the cleaning up after the ponies is a bit more involved than for the machine.

XJC is such a pretty car.

 

Yup, a 1976 XJ12c 5.3 pretty low production, they only made them
For 2 years. Can't wait to get it back on the road!

 

You can see the lines they carried over from the 420G, especially the wrap around bumpers.

So here is the 308's current roommate- I secretly restored this over the past few months as a surprise 25th wedding anniversary gift for Kathryn. You'll no doubt recognize our trouble light that nicely plugs in to the VW socket!

Awesome!!! I remember when I was little my dad put together an engine for one of these in Bulgaria, I believe it was a combo from a Skoda & Lada? Fun times

 

Thanks Chris. She was really pleased with the VW. We had one before the kids were born so it was a meaningful gift.

I have always admired the coupe design of this particular jag. I think it has been overlooked in the collector world because of the low production numbers. I personally have not seen an example on the road in the U.S. for at least 30 years. So looking forward to your resto progress pics!

Bought it last week, picked it up yesterday, remove the dust tomorrow. Alfa Romeo Giulietta 116 series. So far used as a trackday car but I'll convert it into a full racing car. The car is equipped with that magnificent sounding, powerful 3.2 V6 GTA engine. Orange is the new red !!

Well, here in my country a guy managed to squeeze TWO Busso V6 engines in one Alfa Romeo GTV 916 chassis. Biggest issue was synchronising the two (2!) gearboxes and clutches. Great balance though, one engine in the front, one in the back.. And 12 cylinders ! Sounds great, but of course nit like a V12....

 

328GTS, DB9 Coupe, XKE Roadster, golf cart. Guess which one is used the most.....
