Well Folks...just sold the Triumph TR6 for my dream car, a 1985 308GTS QV. The Triumph has a great British throaty sound; one I have loved for years; however, it doesn't ever come close to a well tuned 308...man, I love this car! That's the good news...to get the 308, I made a deal with my wife that we would share the thrill. Well, on her first outing, she found the front of our other car. Now, I'm looking for an US spec. bumper. Can a fellow Fchatter help me out?

    I feel for you, buddy...

Reminds me of when I got my first 308. I was returning it to the dealer after a test drive, and when I was pulling into the warehouse, I hit the steel door jam with the corner of the front bumper! I just looked over at the salesman and said, "I guess I've made my decision --- I'll take it".

I never got mine fixed or replaced as I like the souvenir (pretty minor damage). Also, good bumpers are hard to find.

Check Ebay, I think I saw one on there the other day.

PS) I've still got my last, but wrecked, 71 TR-6 in the garage if you are feeling sentimental and looking for a project LOL --- I used to have several, but once I got into my first F-car, I never looked back... "Out of the frying pan and into the fire!!!"

Call Rutlands and see if they have one.

    A little off topic here.
Nothing against my Ferrari's, they are in a different segment of the market. I'm blessed, I've owned, and sold, a lot of exotic cars but there is one I'll never sell.
My 6 has't seen rain in over 25 years and is as new as it can possibly be. The TR6 is the standard that all others are judged against in the segement of the market it went after. Great cars.
