When comparing the old and the new, it clearly shows the level OMGJON (aka Jon) goes to. This is once again something that will never be seen, but yet he is thorough and neat about the process. Jon, thank you for taking on this project. I can't wait for it to be back together... Shawn
Ready to go in the booth!! Drum roll..........................Is it Dino Blue Metallizzato or Blue Sera Metallizzato???????????????? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Jon/Shawn: Is that the correct voltage regulator for this car? I believe it may be a replacement or at least one with a different cover. The originals show up on eBay all the time. If you can't find one, I've got an NOS one I believe. Keith

Bump. This makes better reading than any book.... Thank you all for sharing the commitment and dedication to preserving such beautiful cars. Can't say enough praise for the artisans who put so much skill, care and time into bringing these cars back to life.

That is the BIG question I have about beat to death, especially with friends and family.... Pictures/computer screens make it VERY HARD...... The fact that you are asking proves the point! Wanna guess?
I have a Blu Sera GT. I think this is Dino Blu Metallizzato, to the original formula. Omgjon did his first Dino restoration in a lighter shade of DBM, and recently finished another Dino in a shade closer to the current sample. Blu Sera is midway between Dino Blu Metallizzato and Blu Pozzi. Fred
Here's the sera sprayout Jon did for my car - looks maybe a little darker now that I stare at it for a while: Image Unavailable, Please Login
Shawn, the formula that is available turned out to be an unsatisfactory match to original (as usual!), so I tweaked and modified the formula to what you see on the spray out sample I made. The color on the "speed Shape" gives a much better representation of what it will look like on your car versus a flat cardboard spray out. I think you're gonna love it!
