At long last, and after 3 years in exile in South Carolina, my baby is finally home where she belongs. 1998 C5 Corvette, 11,000 Miles, bone stock, and perfect. I bought her new in 1998, then went off to college and left her in a garage. In 2003 my dad got this really sweet Vanquish and booted her out of the garage to live in SC, and I finally have a place to keep her. So she's back. It's not a new murci, but it's mint and it's mine.

Already on order: C6 Z06 Wheels (19" and 20") in Black, GHL Exhaust and X-Pipe, Vararam Intake, 1-4 Shift Bypass, and Tinted Windows this week.

Oh man it's nothing compared to the cobra, but I can commute to work in her, and I dont have to refill the gas tank every 40 miles. In fact, I got over 30 MPG for the entire 900 Mile drive from SC to NY. And i've had her up to 175 before. Scary as hell but she runs good

    Matt,

Very nice car, looks like it's in great shape. C5 Vettes are the best (coming from a guy with an '03 Z06). I really like the lines much better than the new cars. Enjoy it.

I installed a Vararam on my '03 Z. It is a bit of a PITA job, if you are doing it yourself. It helps to have a second pair of hands to help hold it together while you are attaching it to the intakes in the front valence. You need one person working from the bottom while the other person holds it up from the top. When you see it, you're going to ask yourself what you just paid for, the fit and finish are not great, but once you get it in, it does work. Just be sure to follow the instructions about resetting the computer for the changed airflow exactly. If you do, you'll feel a seat of the pants difference in performance, and not throw any codes.

    Enjoy!

    Steve

Could it be? Musto, on FChat? What up homie? Thanks for the info Steve. My boy Anthony over at B&A Motorsports (Corvette Genius Extraordinaire) is going to do the installations for me, and he has done a few of these before, so it shouldnt be a problem. The car has been running great since I swapped out the battery and the terminal connectors, and I've put almost 800 miles on it since I brought it home. The Cobra is starting to get lonely haha. I'll post an update once i've got it installed..

You get your rims or anything in yet? There was one point at the midnight run when I was sitting behind John and you were directly to his left, wish I had a camera to take a picture of the twins
