Heard that Shell and Bridgestone renewed their contract till 2010. So I am guessing the single tire manufacturer won't happen soon.

who knows where the F1 season will even be in 2010 since more than half of the teams are threatening to form a break-away series.

There are already talks with teams to join F1 to replace the teams that are threatening to break away. The Midland team and Emirates F1 team will probably stay in F1. They will be joined by other German factory outfits such as BMW, Daimler Chrysler, and Volkswagen. Dietrich Mateschitz will keep the Red Bull outfit in F1.

Renault, Honda and Toyota will have a tough choice to make but will stick to F1 in the end.

The two outfits that will breakaway and form another racing series is Williams and McLaren. They can then save on costs and split all the non existant TV revenues between themselves.
