    I wanted to change my gear oil. Factory calls for the shell oil, but can’t find it unless I buy a drum. Anyone know a source or comparable oil I can use?

    I think this was also called for in 430 and I used a Valvoline oil.

    any help greatly appreciated:)

    Just get Ravenol VSG .

    I technically have a Ferrari FF not 458, but it seems like the California, 458, f12 all have similar boxes. I know the FF has slightly less aggressive gearing, but internals are basically the same.

    I have used Ravenol, nothing special. Expensive and hard to get. Why not use one of the very easy to get, high quality and less expensive oils like Mobile 1, Valvoline synthetic or Lucas. All very reasonably priced. The world is full of 75-90 GL5. I bet its the worlds most common gear oil.

    You are right .. didn't notice it wasn't for a 360 or 430 .. so Mobil 1 would be my choice next

    It’s for my FF. I plan to change it every other oil change going forward. Thanks for advice @Rifledriver :)
