yes but i dont recall the dash being that color.... i think 220k was the number. i'm guessing <220k this time
Henry- If the dash was separating, I guess they could pick any color they like. Of it could have looked black in other photos.
yes taz its a conversion + a total redo of the interior, here is the original listing on F chat before the f chat member bought it and made changes. The luggage looks awesome though, love that, would love to know where its from bc I'd get a set. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/2002-f575m-maranello-f1-exceptional.509822/ Also Taz did you see that Rossa Corsa 550 that went on Ebay recently, its still there, near you in new mexico. Do you have any interest in those or no?
I do not normally look for 550s, but that looks like a nice basic 550 in Santa Fe. Before and after photos of 129483 including the window sticker. The other conversion we know about is 129439, AN 46378. A weird color change, the original dash and steering wheel look so much better, and the seats look darker, maybe just the picture. I do love that luggage set. Any ideas who made?
The owner who had the work done posted in one of the earlier referenced threads above. At least he got rid of that weird whatever it was between the seats.
No mention in the listing of this being a Manual Conversion. Thats a pretty big omission by the seller. Anyone reach out to Auction House (not that they care)?
i did when mecum listed it at that last auction out west. my guess is that the listing is kosher (as they are all 6 speeds)
And back again..... @tazandjan @henryr I thought this car was converted by Wil deGroot? The docs on the auction just show an estimate not an invoice paid..... https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2002-ferrari-575m-maranello-21/ How many historical owners is too many if following the old adage....."buy the seller".....
Wil did a thread on the one he converted. He put a 550 transaxle in her originally because it already had all the three pedal bits fitted. From the outside 550 and 575 transaxles look identical. Not so much on the inside.
yes, the 575 is beefed up with better syncros, etc this is actually a negative shortcut from the other swaps floating around i hear there are 4 cars in the works....
I know there are several lined up for Art at EAG. I didn’t know if deGroot, GTO in LA or our fellow f-chatter that did his own conversion in your area have more planned? I watched the YouTube video about a few guys that had worked with EAG that created another company as well. I assumed they were focusing on 430’s….but haven’t watched closely.
I really liked this interior until I saw that back to back pic Taz posted above with the original. Now I cannot unsee that new cooler steering wheel.
I was initially put off by the interior but the more I look, the more I like it. It gives a nice contrast to the Argento when looking in. I normally like oem, but the painted skirts and bumpers looks really good to me, especially on a light color like this.
Painted skirts and bumpers were standard on the Superamerica and available on late 575Ms. Image Unavailable, Please Login
