After 5 great years, my 328 is gone. I dropped it off yesterday at LoD who will be delivering it to a gentleman near Houston. I just put it up for sale a week ago Thursday and had two firm offers this weekend... and a third person extremely interested.

The garage looks very strange... very empty. :( What a great car!

Well, congratulations or my condolences, whichever applies here. I'm sure the new owner will be very happy. I guess you'll be terrorizing the area in the MINI for now.

Yes, had lunch with your brother last Saturday and he told me of your plans. I think he was just as heartbroken as you were! You know he's not going to stand for his brother not having a sports car, so now you can look forward to him bugging the sh*t out of you to get, yikes--a Pantera! Haha.

Looks like you'll be stuck in G35 land, or some other sensible family sport..

Sorry to hear that you will no longer be a Ferrari owner. I know it was not an easy decision to make.

Might I interest you in an S4 to give you that "nice, practical, 155mph, 4-door family sedan"? :>) Obvious commercial plug!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you miss so much your car, and want to drive 328 for fun, let us know.

We, the clan of 328 Dallas, can accomodate you, I'm sure.

Try not to race on the street w/ Ferrari w/ your MINI to justify your void.

BTW, that was a quick sale! You are happy with the deal you got, right?

Thx all... I'll really miss it.

Yoshi, I may take you up on your driving offer sometime in the future. I got a very fair price for the car... good for both parties and very close to my asking price.

Matt, no G35 or "sensible family sport" cars in my future. How sensible can one be when he has two kids and his wife drives a MINI? :)

Will, I sure hope so... but I really don't see me getting anything for at least a couple of yrs. My next goal would be a 355 Spider.

Hope you're happy to be back in Ft. Worth!

    Hall & Oates-She's gone

    Everybody's high on consolation
Everybody's trying to tell me what is right for me, yeah
My daddy tried to bore me with a sermon
But it's plain to see that they can't comfort me

    Sorry Charlie for the imposition
I think I've got it, I got the strength to carry on, yeah
I need a drink and a quick decision
Now it's up to me, ooh what will be?

    Chorus:
    She's Gone She's Gone
    Oh why? Oh why?
I better learn how to face it
    She's Gone She's Gone
    Oh why? Oh why?
I'd pay the devil to replace her
    She's Gone She's Gone
    Oh why? Oh why?
    What went wrong?

Get up in the morning, look in the mirror
One less carkey hanging in the stand
My face ain't looking any younger
Now I can see love's taken a toll on me

    Chorus

Think I'll spend eternity in the city
Let the carbon and monoxide choke my thoughts away
And pretty bodies help dissolve the memories
But they can never be what she once was to me

    Chorus

    Bob,

I saw your post and thought I would give you some information on your 328. As you know, the weather was nice when I flew to DFW to look at the car but it has gone downhill since then. We did not have your snow here, but the weather has been terrible with much rain and just really bad weather. As I may have already told you, LoD backed it into the stable so that it would not get wet, and it has stayed that way, although I have moved it to our home where the garage is a/c & heated. I have had the chance to drive it about 1-2 hours when the weather was permittable. Possibly it will be nice by the weekend.

    I hope everyone is well.

    Robert Mann
