    Does anyone know where the OEM fender shields should be mounted on for 550? I just need the measurements. Thanks!

    Mine is a 575 but I am sure that the shield is in the same place. The measurements are as follows:

    The bottom of the shield is 4 inches above the centre of the side indicator light. (To check this light is in the same place as yours - its centre is 3.5 inches horizontally from the front edge of the door).

    The top of the shield is 2.5 inches below the panel join that continues the shut line of the bonnet (hood to you if you are a Yank!)

    can you apply the metal sheilds to a 550? I previously had the enamel and would like to put the metal shields on with out getting new fenders..

    The fenders need to be embossed to be right.
