I have just purchased a 97 355 gts. Due to a business opportunity for a new office I have down traded my 2000 360f1 and gone to a lesser value 355 but I am really looking forward to some top off driving and I love the 355 probably just as much as the 360. Still it is about 100k aud less so I will probably feel a little more comfortable taking it to track days.
Can anyone tell me what measurements are for placing the plastic scuderia shields on the front guards. I can wing it but would greatly appreciate a correct position. I think they set the car off. Help would be appreciated I have searched archive but drawn a blank

Off the top of my head - when I put mine on my 355 - I did 3 inches from the door crease and 3 inches from the top of the fender crease...

    hope that helps,

    Rich

You probably should take it to a dealership. They have a template they lay over the fenders for shield placement. Or if you're in the Los Angeles area, take it to Premier Motorsports in Culver City, they have a template there too. I had my vinyl shields removed and metal shields re installed there. They did a great job.

    Edmo7,

Can you post the pictures of the your F355 with the metal shields installed? I want to see how our shields turned out on your car. Thanks!

I'm about to pull the trigger on a 355, few of them have shields. If you don't mind..how much do the vinyl ones cost?

i would think twice about using the vinyl shields on a ferrari, they look cheap. you might want to buy a pair of the thin metal shields, they look great and they look as good as the factory shields....

I love the look of shields for sure, but if you do not have the fender frenched (indented) to go with the metal shield IMO anything looks a little cheesey.

That said I do like the look, so I used the magnetic shields / they look just like the 3D sticker but I can pull them off when I wash or wax etc.

I bought from an add in the back of the FCA news bulliten that comes monthly...

Got a whole set: 2 same size as factory, 2 small (ended up on the wifes Navigator) 1 copy of the front hood emblem...around 65-70 bucks
