    Shields and Yellow Calipers.

The yellow matches beautifully with the Nero Daytona color. Also the fender shields are a must for each Ferrari! :) Makes it look more complete in my book.

I agree. Yes on the shields. I prefer the yellow calipers, but I must admit, the black calipers confers a nice clean look.

I ordered mine without; looks much cleaner IMHO. Things are pretty busy in that area already.

Calipers look better black or silver.

Yellow calipers, for sure, ambivalent on shields. Ambilivence being defined as your mother-in-law going over a cliff in your 456M.

IMO, Scuderia shields belong on race cars. As a pure road car, and one that's a touch understated vs. the other products, I just don't think they belong on a California. Besides, it's a busy front quarter and everyone can see it's a Ferrari so another piece of conspicuous branding is (for me) all a bit much.

I agree. Modern road going Ferraris without track pretensions should not have shields. Stradales and Scuderias should. They are thinly disguised track cars.
Bright calipers too do not belong on road GT's like the Cali, 612 and 599.

Alex- I am with you on the shields, but totally disagree with you on the calipers. They look beautiful on late model Ferraris with their huge calipers and open wheel designs. Plus the Giallo Modena matches the color of the wheel centers, which older cars lack. Times change.

On older cars like a Daytona, I agree they would look out of place, but are nearly invisible anyway so a moot point. Same for any car with wire wheels.

Colored cals look fine on modern sports/GT cars as it is the current trend of fashion and looks tasteful in silver, red, or yellow. It emphasizes racing heritage of the marque.

Shileds --people get very precious with those and take sides. The purist issue aside, I think they look fine depending on the body style and body color. Shields are not as forgiving as colored brake calipers, though. They either look good/ok or they are distracting and inappropriate.

My Cali has yellow calipers and shieleds, and I think it suits the car fine! It's red by the way!

Geir- Yellow calipers look really good on red cars, especially when they are as big as those on a California.

Have not been to Norway since 1989 and lived in Oslo for three years a long time ago. Prettiest, nicest girls in the world live in Norway. I tell young guys if they want a good wife, go live in Norway for a while and find one.

Mine has both shields and yellow calipers. Shields tell those uneducated that this is a Ferrari. Don't get shields if you want less attention. I still love the attention so love the shields. For those that think they belong on race cars only, to each his own (best thing I can say without starting something)

Most UK dealers will advise you to get shields for resale but it's a personal taste choice. The vast majority of the Cali's I saw in production at the factory this week had them.

    Thank you. Taz!
Actually mine (Cali, not my wife) is still the only red one in Norway so far! There are another 4 Calis, Black, White, Grey and silver. Hopefully some more will be deliverred in 2010, as the snow now finally clears from the highways, and I can take my Cali out again!

I think the calipers are okay in color. I had shields on my first Cali, but decided not to put them on new one I ordered. I agree with the too busy look in that area. I think you can get enough attention everytime you step on the gas and they get to see the prancing horse on the rear deck. Just my thoughts, to each his own.
