Shirley Muldowney visits the Savoy:

This weekend, Shirley Muldowney, the First Lady of Drag Racing and an inspiration to female racing drivers of all disciplines, came to the Savoy Automobile Museum in Cartersville, GA to speak to her many fans. Wayne Carini (who's been here before) was also in town. When Shirley saw her "Last Pass" dragster (on loan from the Garlits museum), she just had to get in it one more time. On Saturday evening, we watched an edited version of a new documentary, simply called "Shirley", which also included appearances by Don Garlits and Angelle Sampey, among others. (The entire documentary will air this Wednesday, March 20 at 7 PM on FS1.) Then she and moderator Ken Gross had a Q&A followed by Shirley fielding questions from the audience. A good time was had by all!

She said that she hadn't spoken with Connie Kalitta in 17 years!
