My 430 coupe creaking noise was initially diagnosed as a "sway bar bushing" problem and now it's the "shock pins". I've read the 360CS guys have had some luck with the 430 teflon shock pins. Has anyone had similiar problem/resolution with their 430?
    Thanks for any advice!!! ///Mike

Interesting question. I have not heard of 430's having this problem. I did install 430 shock pins on my CS with great results.

I have the same creaking noise in the front of my 430 Scuderia, but not on my F430. I was told by Ferrari service that it was the anti-sway bar bushings causing that noise and the only way to eliminate the noise was to slightly grease them.
I do not know whether it's true or false, but would also appreciate any suggestions.

Unfortunately that band aid appears to be Ferraris answer to a 5 year old issue which was prevalent in the CS.

I hear a creaking sound when traversing inclines. It sounds like it's coming from the dash/bulkhead area, but could it be the front sway bar? I don't really hear it while driving.

If so, can I grease it myself? TIA

Wouldn't discount the dash/bulkhead area as some 430 windscreens and or dash tops have been known to creak. With regard to lubricating the sway bar bushing, I would have your dealer perform this service. That's what your warranty is for and there will be a report of this issue attached to your VIN. Should this become a reoccurring issue after the warranty expires you'll have leverage to have the repair completed again under warranty.

my experience with two stradales (16,000 miles on each of them) is that the teflon-coated bolts by themselves were not the solution. the problem is that even if you torque all of the suspension-related bolts to specifications some of these bolts tend to "loosen" just a little bit as you drive the car. the harder you drive the car, the more likely the suspension bolts are to loosen. even if you drive the car relatively "normal" some of these bolts tend to loosen "just a little bit" after about 1,000 to 2,000 miles (that's been my experience). that said, i've found the solution to be relatively painless and that is to simply re-torque ALL of the suspension-related bolts every couple thousand miles or sooner if you start to hear the clicks and clacks. this is definitely a nuisance, and we really shouldn't have to do this, but i'm just glad this solution works (for me at least) and it's relatively painless (easy to do).

btw, i think the teflon-coated shock bolts do help the problem to some extend, but i think the real reason these bolts seemed to help was that when ferrari replaced the stock bolts with the teflon-coated bolts they also increased the amount of torque used to tighten these bolts.

there are only a small number of suspension-related bolts, and they are all easily accessible when you remove the wheels, so it doesn't take too much time or expense to have these bolts checked and re-torqued periodically.

Thanks for the info. Rick........I'll check my Scuderia bolts. Just need to obtain the torque settings for all the suspension-related bolts.

Sounds like a problem some lock washers would fix, or bolts that have a "lock" feature integrated into its design.
remember, if your adding a washer then the bolt may need to be slightly longer so you have the right amount of threads threaded in.

I have exactly the same issue on my CS. Any chance of posting some pics of the bolts which require to be re torqued?

    Thanks
