I want to put new shocks in the car and have read about the qa-1 shocks here. Are guys using them because they are better or less expensive then the stock konis. Also do the stock springs work with the qa-1 or do I have to buy new springs. I am using 225/50/16 front 245/50/16 back tires. Changing them looks pretty straight forward. Does anyone have a parts list and source for parts. I dont want to lower my car the country roads were I live are not always the best paved.
    Thanks Jim

Stock Koni's are not adjustable and are significantly heavier. The QA-1's I used are 12way adjustable and are an easy fit to the 308. You can adjust ride height to where it's good for you. If you go QA-1's you WILL need the 'paperweights' from Unobtanium Supply (Verell) for the front A-Arms. Otherwise you'll have to grind the A-Arm which I would not do.
IF you're going to do your shocks, check out your suspension bushings too. They might need replaced as well and its easy to do while you're there.
The following threads have good stuff in them on the QA-1's and bushing replacement should you go that route...
The 1st thread (my rebuild) has a shopping list on the last page.

Sorry, the shopping list is on the FIRST page of the thread here...
I"m not sure about spring rates for your car. I think that most are going with 300/250 for yours...

If you do a search on QA1, suspension, etc...you'll find enough material on F-Chat to keep you reading for weeks.
